Road surface lose and missing
6th June
The road surface for 100m either side of the school traffic light pedestrian crossing and crossroad juntion with Halley Road/Portland Square/Cade Street B2096 is broken away and lose. This will drastically reduce vehicles stopping ability at this busy crossing used by school children. A high friction road surface has been applied in the past leading up to the traffic lights, so it must have been identified as a high risk area, but there is now very little of this left intact.

Impassable footpath

For months this footpath has been covered in water and thick mud. Now with the exceptional dry weather it is still the same. Pedestrians are using the grass bank instead which is next to the dangerous A267.

Horrendous road condition - continues

Despite this issue being reported many times and very small areas of the road surface repaired this issue is still ongoing to the point of which during the course of taking these photographs I physically watched cars avoid this area actually slow down so was to reduce the damage to their cars this area of road surface is a joke I need dealing with properly

Hedges overgrowing pavement
wheelchair access now problematic
These Hedges have been reported before. The main problem abuts 1, Nursery Way. But Hedges adjacent and abutting rear of 7 and 8 Nursery Way appear to be a problem. The Hedges appear to be firmly on ESCC land, but in the past ESCC have claimed they are the householders responsibility. They have now become dangerous due to reducing width on pavement and due to brambles growing through the hedge at eye level. Reference to the lamp standard will demonstrate that even if the hedge is cut back level to that, it still exceeds the standard cited in ESCC guidelines.

The pothole and several others on the A267 between Cross in Hand and Horam has been present for more than 2 months. It is getter deeper and more dangerous. This is a very busy road used by heavy lorries and they are making the potholes much worse.
