Glass all over cycle path
16th May
There is smashed glass on top of the bridge and also scattered shards underneath the bridge (from the black bollards through to the cycle path near the tip) which was reported months ago. I know of multiple people getting punctures from going underneath the bridge and now there is glass on top too. It's great having cycle paths, however they are not maintained so people just end up using the road anyway which causes public complaints but there is glass/debris on most cycle paths in Bridgwater.

Human fouling and litter along the length of the road.
25th March
Why do overnight parkers think that it's OK to have FREE parking and leave their faeces and litter behind is beyond me. The pile of full bags were litter picked by me and a helpful young lad visiting for the weekend. The last photo shows a pizza carton which has tissue and faeces in it, bloody disgusting. It's about time that the council got a grip of this serious problem. This week we have had vans on the whole length of the road. One guy said that it's on the internet about the free parking on the Old Bath Road.

Glass shards all along Dunball causing workers multiple punctures/making them cycle on the dual carriageway instead
19th March
All along the cycle path there is debris and glass from Dunball dual carriageway. I previously reported that this needs a sweep but only from near NHS to the beginning of the cycle path was swept. I work at one of the buildings at the end of Dunball and I've had EIGHT punctures in less than one year. I've spoken to others within my workplace and they are continuously getting punctures too. Some have even started to cycle on the dual carriageway to avoid the debris, which I find extremely dangerous. It's lovely that there is a cycle path here, however people are stopping using it and using the road instead due to the continuous money being spent on fixing/replacing their inner tubes.

Lots of glass under this bridge. People are getting multiple punctures and this is a hazard to children.
19th March
There is glass under this bridge which starts from the black bollards by the flats, all the way through to the cycle path. This is causing multiple tyre punctures and is obviously a hazard in case children try and play here.

Rubbish abandoned and causing obstruction
19th March
Bath Road Bridgwater has a small public pathway (by Briants Buildings) that leads to a children's play park serviced by the council.
The pathway is blocked by bins and recycling and other rubbish left across the pathway entrance to Bath Road.
Children and those with prams and mobility scooters are finding it different to get onto and off Bath Road.
Two things, please remove the rubbish that is a health and trip hazard (also looks really bad from the road to visitors to Bridgwater) and please ask the recycle and bin people to put the bins back in a safe place after emptying. Thank you.

Obstruction of pavement
13th February
There are multiple cars parked all over the pavements on both sides of the road so pedestrians have to walk down the road, I was walking back with my dog and had to do this and a big hgv was crawling behind me unable to pass and my dog was petrified. Coming in the opposite direction was a lady with a pushchair and she had to duck between two parked cars ( on the pathway)so the lorry could pass.

Litter left mostly by overnight parkers.
12th February
12/2/2025. The amount of litter is growing almost the length of the Old Bath Road. A lot of bottles of urine and carrier bags with human faeces thrown into the hedge. A lot of tissue and human faeces + alot of cans and glass bottles etc, along the whole lengh of the road. The most over night parkers that I have seen in the early morning is a total of 14 vehicles. A few are now permanent.
