Lane surface deteriorating because of continuous running water
8th November
The lane surface is deteriorated because of continuous running water off of Farringdon Hill. Its a patchwork of old and new potholes, split open by the water. The verge is sludge. The water does not run anywhere near the ditch. Why is the council incapable of sorting this road hazard out?

Wide and deep pothole on edge of carriageway that is rapidly expanding
4th February
Huge pothole that is expanding quickly as it is being hit by multiple large passenger carrying vehicles and large goods vehicles every day. It has more than doubled in size in the last week, with large chunks of debris being created. This is on an unlit section of road used by large vehicles as well as bicycles and motorcycles, so has the potential to cause a serious incident.

Flowing water on road
4th November
I reported this last year and the year before. And as you can see nothing has been done by the Somerset Highway Authority. Wessex Water have tested the water pipes and they have found no leaks. The water has been flowing since work has been done on the main Hinkley Point Road opposite Farringdon Lane. Its constantly flowing from the top of the lane and down towards Idson Lane. Outside Wick Cottage the ground is saturated and is being soaked up into the exterior wall. Im fed up of hearing about weve had a lot of rain which is obvious and very patronising for Somerset Highways to point this out! This is a drain problem, the water is not flowing into a drain but straight onto the road. With the drop in temperature this road will soon turn into a lane of ice. Please find the capability to sort it out.

No drainage
9th March
Water is constantly running off the main Hinkley Point road and onto this lane. The road is wet during dry weather conditions and is made much worst during rain. The water runs from the top of the lane and up to Wick Cottage. There is no where for the water to run as the ditches have collapsed. It is made worst from tractors running over the grass verges and creating a mud bath on the road. During the Winter this road was frozen and extremely dangerous. The road never use to be wet and grit was not left on the road side this year.

Pedestrian crossing faulty
3rd December
The pedestrian crossing at the cross road between cowbridge road east and cathedral road switches off frequently after being pressed so sometimes it means standing for 10 minutes continuously pressing the button to be able to cross. Often you go through two or three cycles of traffic to be able to cross. It used to just be a problem in the evenings but now I have noticed it happening in the day time too. It is frustrating and means people take more risks crossing the road when it is not sage to do so. I have been using the crossing for over a year and it has become worse in the past 2 months.
