Several violent potholes - witnessed swerving
22nd December
There are several large potholes in the slow lane heading westbound on the stretch between jct 14 and jct 15. I witnessed a car swerve into the middle lane as a result - narrowly avoiding another car. My car has hit these pot holes several times over the last 6 months.

Giant depression/ Pothole on M4 westbound just before M4 A 113.5 near Baydon
30th November
This giant depression on the left lane of M4 westbound just beofre M4 A 113.5 near Baydon still exist and I have been caught by it twice now already. It will not only cause damage to vehicles but also a possible cause for accidents. Specially lorries will be on this lane and this giant depression on road causes the vehile to swere around if you are not careful and unknown about the depression on the road specially at night. Please fix this issue. This issue has been flagged and it was on highways forum a year ago and highways reply was they are not going to fix it as it is not pothole but a depression on the raod. This is unacceptable reason for not fixing the issue. Why is this not fixed even after a year and we pay road tax for nothing?

Significant Pothole M4 Westbound slow lane near marker post M114
19th November
Hard to see approx 60-70 cm across step in carriageway in near side tyre line deep enough to cause suspension to ground. This was not the usual top dressing abrasion due to traffic and could possibly be a sinkhole?

Potholes
24th September
There is a large pothole in lane 1, closest to the hard shoulder at 6.3 miles from the junction 15 exit westbound. There is a further pothole at 3.3 miles, and two more within seconds after passing, from the junction 15 westbound. These have been a problem for months, possibly years, and that first one really hits hard every time. Locals have learned to get as close to the line as possible or move to lane 2 for both locations. When its dark, they really sneak up on you sometimes. Much less significant road damage has been fixed in recent times but these two locations always seem to be left. Regular users of that stretch of the M4 really would be thankful to have these areas of road damage fixed. Thanks in advance

Very large pothole
7th September
This is in the 'slow' westbound lane approximately as marked on the map. it is approximately directly north of Ramsbury and possibly half a mile to the east of where I have marked. My son did a map snapshot of where we were within a minute of banging into the pothole. The M4 'slow' lane further West of the large pothole is not good, but nothing like as bad as the pothole indicated.

Very large pothole on lane 1
29th July
Huge pothole in lane one near Baydon. Our car experienced a very large whack driving over it and obviously at speed it is not possible to evade it. Have concern that serious damage may have been caused to the car.
