The Hobble needs clearance it is becoming dangerous to walk along. Please clear the area of brambles, overhanging branches and weeds so the people of Faringdon can use the public footpath. This is a matter of urgency please as it has not been done for a long time.

Inaccessible pavement

The overgrown hedge and verge with brambles etc make it impossible for pedestrians to walk safely along the path. I need to use a mobility aid and found myself having to step onto the road with fast moving traffic . It was very frightening.

Wire in Tree

Wires Going through tree 76 Marlborough Gardens Faringdon although the tree has been trimmed it has only been done at the bottom. It is the higher branches as you can see from the photo that are causing the issue as the are touching the cable.
Do you know when this is scheuled to be done please?

12 Potholes
8th May
We have 12 potholes on the road from Lechlade Road up Canada Lane. Some are marked so we cant claim if they damage our car. They have been marked for weeks and nothing had been done. Now I have found out the hose builders on Canada lane have gone bust so the road and path they have messes up will not be done. This road needs to be put right asap.

Avtar construction did not complete works
7th May
Avtar construction had a permit for completing the footpath and roadway, however only completed the footpaths. There has been no resurfacing to the carriageway and the white lining has not been completed. The access into the estate is causing issues due to the failure to complete this, leaving a sharp and severe lip onto the paved section which has caused numerous popped tyres and then results in blockages onto the B4019.

Over grown hedge and ivy on the path

The hedge is over hanging some branches are over hanging and eye level there is ivy growing on the path I walk my dog round there every day at the top of Marines drive she will only walk where she feels safe as she can't see very well the path round the corner as ivy on it which is growing over the path I will have to walk on the road soon if it is not cleared

Major pothole

This pothole was supposedly fixed about a couple of months ago but the tarmac is crumpling and it is as bad as ever. Cars swerve to avoid it and it is a danger for cyclists and is bound to cause buckled wheels.

Overhanging vegetation blocking pavement
28th April
The hedges and vegetation are growing into the pavement area making it difficult to use the pavement as you have to step into the road to avoid it. It has been a problem in this area for many years and the pavement area gets narrower each year. Ideally the whole hedge area needs cutting right back to regain the original wider pavement area rather than just a cursory trim. This is on the Highworth Road starting from the footpath down to humpty hill and continuing for some way along Highworth Road as you exit Faringdon.

Safety fencing vandalised exposing collapsing wall
25th April
The safety fencing around the collapsing wall on the footpath between Southampton Street and Volunteer Way has been pulled over by kids. My garden backs onto it and I heard them laughing and pulling it down last night. It is completely blocking the path and is very dangerous for when it gets dark or for anyone who is sight impaired or in a wheelchair or Mobility scooter the fencing needs putting back, although it will soon get pulled over again I expect, better still if the wall could be repaired. The tree above the wall appears to be the issue, so probably needs felling.
