Roadworks diversion is causing serious traffic issues
19th May
There are roadworks in place on Bolters Lane and the junction of Court Road. The utility company have put a diversion in place. The diversion directs traffic down Banstead High Street, onto Avenue Road, then onto Court Road back towards Bolters Lane/Holly Lane. Court road is residential with parking on both sides of the Road, effectively making it a single track. The diversion is causing absolute mayhem as the road isn't wide enough to allow vehicles to pass, especially larger vehicles. Parents park (illegally) on a daily basis outside St Anne's School, often blocking the road. Consequently, nothing can actually move. The diversion appears to have been hastily and hapzardly placed, clearly with no thought or planning. Someone at your end needs to deal with this urgently as residents cannot access their properties and the amount of traffic build up as a result is unacceptable. Please can this be addressed as a matter of urgency.

Park Lane is closed for 9 weeks
yet there are now road works in Bolters Lane!
Park Lane, Banstead is closed for 9 weeks for drainage. This pushes all the traffic onto Holly Lane. SES have now closed Bolters Lane, Banstead for 4 days and are routing traffic downCourt Road a quiet residential road which cannot cope with that amount of traffic. To make matters worse St Annes School is right on that junction. Why doesn't someone use their common sense and wait until Park Road is reopened before carrying out this work. Every time there are major roadworks in Banstead we become besieged. There are only two routes into Banstead from the south and both of these are now blocked! Madness!!

Holes and poor surfaces
19th May
I am writing this as a resident of this road supporting another recent complaint which I see you have rejected effectively saying the road is fine. IT IS NOT. Its an absolute disgrace, a mess of holes, cracks and uneven surfaces. Dangerous to cycle on and awful to drive on. The kerbs are raised in places, sunken in others. A drain is protruding making cars swerve around it. Your feeble attempts at filling holes makes matters worse, it just creates lumps which then break up requiring more work. Please put us residents out of our misery and resurface the whole lot once and fore all.
