Continue unsafe parking parking on school yellow lines. Happens everyday cars parked are along road stopping on lines blocking residents drives as they wait for children to come out of school. Why cant they be drop of points ? Signs out like Durham has.

Parking on paths/ yellow lines outside of primary school grounds
9th January
There is continued parking by parents/ carers outside of St Pauls CE Primary School which is affecting public walking on the paths to and from the school. The parking situations are increasing and I am very anxious about the safety of the children and myself, for example on one occasion I have been told to move out of the way of a car so they can park. The Head Teacher at the school continues to advise parents not to park but to no avail. Todays incident where a driver was very intimidating whilst walking along the path has caused me a lot of stress, a simple everyday event turning into a lot more.

Parking on zig zag school lines

I've noticed a common and increasing issue with cars parked on the zig zag lines outside of hillview primary school, Stannington Grove entrance. This parking is parents collecting their children at 3pm - 3.15pm each day Monday to Friday.
It us only a matter of time before an accident happens

40mph speed limit sign
15th June
There is a 40mph speed limit sign just past the bus stop heading up Burdon Road towards Silksworth. The issue is this may be causing confusion about the speed limit of the road. At the end of Doxford Park way, new signage has been put up with a speed limit of 30mph heading towards Burdon Road. This is the same from Rotary Way and Tunstall Village Green - it is also signed at 30mph. This indicates that Burdon Road should now be a 30mph and that the 40mph sign is incorrect. I have already reported this to the council but nothing has been done about it yet. There are many pedestrians trying to cross the road and the 40mph sign is causing a danger.

Another year where Persimmon Homes new development. St Michaels Way is causing the road to be a absolute disgrace. The road is unsafe with the layers of mud left on it, especially in wet weather, and they do nothing to prevent this never mind the state it leaves cars in. I have to use this road everyday to commute to work and I may as well be in the RAC rally ! Please have Persimmon Homes do something about it this year as last they took no notice. I and many others pay our road fund Licence, and not for dirt track driving !
