No cat's eyes & poor road white lines
17th December
Approximately 2 years ago I reported the lack of cat's eyes & deteriorating white lines on the A53 road from Blackshaw Moor past the Winking Man pub towards Flash. This extends for several miles. A part of the road at Flash was tar sprayed & new markings applied but it stopped far too short. In the dark, in thick fog, (most days/nights in winter) it has to be one of the most dangerous roads in Staffordshire. It is certainly about the most fog prone stretch of road in Staffordshire. Perhaps the Staffordshire Council safety representative would drive the road in the fog & then complete a risk assessment. Given the inadequate road markings the council is wide open to claims for unsafe roads in the event of accidents. Please address the situation before a serious accident occurs.

Moor road goes NE of Thorncliffe..This was spotted during a recent cycle ride. After passing the viewing point slowly continue NE and stop at the FIRST filed gate on the left hand side. It is on a slight right hand bend. On the opposite side of the carraigeway at the point where the tarmac meets the embankment is the cable which continues for a few metres NE. If you have reached the Mermaid Guest house, you've gone too far so turn around and repeat. It is also viewable on Google street,
