Old Watling St

On Old Watling Street there seems to be a large fly tip that's only been half cleared away. Originally it would have blocked the road, now there's tyre tracks through it

Many large Potholes
21st March
There are many potholes along Water Lane, the potholes are a complete nightmare and dangerous. They are very deep and two cars cannot pass by them. Getting stuck in them will cause serious damage to a vehicle. As a result long queues form in the morning. It took me over 20 minutes to get round watery lane where it should take only2. Please would arrange to repair them along this whole road urgently

Passing lay-by has at least 2 huge potholes
17th March
These potholes have been there for a long time and are now huge - its single the ACO and traffic coming the other way forces you into the potholes - they are big enough to cause serious damage to cars. It is also a planned diversion route I think!

The central reservation is not clearly defined
Dangerous.
It has so much dirt and rubbish on it, it is hard to see where the central reservation is, it needs a thorough clean of all weeds, growth, vegetation with rubbish and debris removed and lines repainted. Redundant Street furniture requires removal. General area by the lorry park resembles third world conditions.

On 24/7 and far too bright
7th February
New lighting installed under the M1 on A5183 between the two roundabouts. It is on all the time and is far too bright. Even in daylight it is too bright. At night you enter from a section of road with no lighting and this is dazzlingly bright, then exit to another section with no or very poor lighting. Better not to have any than this excessively bright lighting. Could probably switch three quarters of them off and still be more than adequate.

Street Lighting still not working
29th January
Hello.
On the 19 November 2024 I reported that a large number of street lights at this location are not working. Your reply suggested that remedial works should be completed by the end on January.
They're still not working.
At 05:30 yesterday morning I came within a whisker of crashing my motorbike and ending up under a Transit van. A lorry that had filled with diesel at the local lorry park, had dumped some of its load in a continuous line around roundabout. This is not uncommon, but I had no chance of seeing the spill as it was pitch dark. Diesel spills reflect light (if there is any).
What's the current time schedule for the works to be completed?
Regards, PJ
