Pothole at A1081/Highfield Park Dr Rounabout. South side of the roundabout. Just before the give-way line of Lane 1 Westbound carriageway of A1081, lane to continue towards St Albans centre. Reported before, getting worse.

Overgrown Vegetation - Sightline Issue

Vegetation is over growing on the verge of A1081/B556/M25 Slip Roundabout. Blocking sight line from give-way line when coming from anticlockwise M25 Off Slip up to the roundabout, unable to see oncoming traffic on the right coming from the A1081 overbridge until the last second. Traffic approaching from the bridge has a clear view to their right so often dont slow down which makes pulling away from the M25 Off Slip even more precarious. Causes unnecessary delays at an often already congested roundabout due to people being cautious, adds to queues on M25 Slip or at worse will cause a collision on the roundabout. Vegetation/sight line needs clearing.

Screws or nails all over the road STILL!
25th April
There are still boxes of screws/nails strewn across the road. As you approach the roundabout along Ridge Hill (the B556) coming from South Mimms, they are EVERYWHERE. I reported this on the other side of the roundabout two days ago! Somebody needs to come out and clear them and check the whole area! What a mess and what a disgrace that this still has not been cleared up!

Spillage of nails- urgent
23rd April
There has been a spillage of nails on the A1081 as it goes across the M25 from the London Colney direction and approaches the roundabout at the junction with the B556. I have attempted to call this in as it's very urgent but HCC customer service staff cannot find the location and dont know what a nail is. I spent nearly half an hour on the phone. It's bad enough that they are on the road but if these spill onto the M25 the consequence could be a fatality. Fault ref is 401004620986

Dangerous lack of markings

As many other reports state - a complete lack of lane markings , daily near misses and all because theres a lack of response from authorities. Someone is going to get seriously hurt. Just get the lanes marked again. Been like it for at least a year now. All round the roundabout.

The road markings at the London Colney Roundabout are illegible causing many near misses due to traffic not being in the correct lane for their exit.
This is a very dangerous situation that requires prompt rectification before a serious accident happens.

Road markings
5th April
After a recent RTC on this roundabout it has come to my attention that the road markings are very faded as quoted in previous reports. This makes negotiating the four lanes on the roundabout as the two Left lanes for the A 1081 and two right lanes for London colney, difficult ascertain which lane is the correct lane to be in, hence a road traffic collision. Reported many times please resolve before a major incident occurs.

Large pothole in right hand side of left lane travelling south west
3rd April
I hit this pothole at dusk (7:25pm) on 03/04/2025.
The resulting impact has caused a bulge in my car tyre and possible alloy damage. This is very dangerous as the road is national speed limit and close to a bend which if the tyre fails as a result would be disasterous.
