Dangerous actions by sheffield city Council
30th May
Once again the verges have been cut and cuttings left dangerously on the road. This issue was reported at this location last time the verges were cut but with no response are actions taken to resolve the issue, the old dried ot cuttings are now underneath the fresh ones. This issue was also reported last year and the year before with full investigations taking place on both occasions with the finding that AALL cuttings should be removed either by being blown back on to verges are if not safe to do so a road sweeper should follow the operatives as the cuttings are a danger for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists especially when they have dried out. These investigations were carried out at different locations by operations management at streetsahead and also included a site visit where it was agreed that the cuttings should be removed, with this in mind SCC and streetsahead are knowingly putting public safety at risk. A full investigation is necessary yet again.

Car has been In communal car park for over 3 months. Has been reported to DVLA as it is untaxed. Now MOT has expired. Punctured tyres and has not moved so it is abandoned. It needs moving as it is against the law and is also taking up a space which a person with a taxed and MOTd vehicle can use

The bushes and verge need cutting back to improve the view for vehicles emerging out of spout lane onto storrs lane. the view to the right is extremely hindered by overgrown verge/hedge. it will cause an accident because you have to edge so far out to get a better view your almost out of the junction

Sheffield city council vehicle dangerously obstructing the pavement

This council vehicle has been illegally driven along the pavement and is now completely blocking the pavement in contravention of the highway code forcing pedestrians to use the road to get past. These actions are unlawfull and totally unacceptable and actions need taking against the driver responsible.

Road repairs are sub standard and are failing

The bodged road repairs are already failing, the one in the photo has sunk,cracked open and the material used in the repair is being flung in to the air, I was made aware of this issue as the material used ended up on my vehicle. The rest of the road is a total mess and not fit for purpose including sunken iron work (already reported but with no response from SCC) This issue needs immediate attention and I would also appreciate a response including the reason the road was signed to be closed for 10 days but was only closed for 1 day and repaired inadequately.

Grass cuttings dangerously left on the road

This issue was investigated last year by streetsahead ahead and was soon cleared up with a road sweeper and I was advised in writing that grass cuttings would not be left on the road going forward but once again cuttings have been left. The cuttings need to be cleared ASAP and this issue looking into once again. The cuttings have been left along the whole length of this road.

Sunken iron work

The road surface on this road seems to have been bodged once again, done in one day even though signage state's that the road will be closed for 10 days but nevertheless there is still iron work I believe a grate of some kind that has sunk by quite a lot causing a hazard that vehicles swerve to avoid that could cause a serious accident, the sunken iron work is as bad as a huge pothole that could and has been damaging vehicles, I believe this has been missed whilst repairs have been taking place. This issue needs resolving ASAP to ensure no more damage to vehicles is caused and to avoid a very serious accident.
