A428 junction with B1040 please can you remove / reposition your temporary signage it's getting more and more difficult to see coming out of the junction in a car. You've positioned your cones on the junctions markings making it hard to see.

Several deep potholes on the slip road from the A428 to Eltisley village.
21st May
There are several deep potholes which have been getting deeper and deeper over the last few month. I take this route regularly and I have to either drive to avoid the potholes or my car shudders as it hits the potholes causing me to take corrective action whilst driving. Now that the A428 diversions have been cleared and the traffic flow has returned to normal, please could this dangerous road surface be scheduled to be resurfaced.

Please can you explain the ban on turning left towards St Neots onto the A428 at the B1040 junction at Eltisley? This now appears to be a permanent ban but no reason is given. Many thanks.

Footpath unusable
14th February
Good Evening, I recently reported that the footpath here is in a terrible state and unusable and I get a reply from Highways to say it will be looked at in April - May time within other maintenance works !? What do you expect us people to do in due course then fall and break a bone or slip into the carriageway from my mobility scooter this is my only route other than going down the actual road. please advise as Im happy to take this to my local MP to tackle on our behalf ? This should be a priority not left until something terrible happens, what a poor reply!

Eltisley A428/B1040 - Dangerous diversion
11th January
Vehicles turning east onto A428 from B1040 slip-road contend with fast-moving, eastbound traffic on A428, and slowing vehicles turning right onto Cambridge Road junction. The view of east-bound A428 traffic is inadequate - this is an alarmingly unsafe junction.

Extremely dangerous diversion on A428 near Eltisley
8th November
An extremely dangerous diversion has been set up to route traffic that would have travelled north on the A1198 at the Caxton Gibbet roundabout, but which is now closed for 4 months, west along the A428 and north on to the B1040.
Yesterday, after only a week of the diversion being in operation, we experienced the first serious accident at the junction of the A428 and B1040. its only a matter of time before someone gets killed!
Traffic exiting right from Eltisley on Cambridge Road on to the A428 cannot see traffic from the St Neots direction because it is hidden by traffic waiting at the junction to use the diversion. This makes the manoeuvre very risky.
Please can you re-route the diversion urgently on to a safe route?

Dangerous diversion causing serious accident yesterday
8th November
This has been an accident black spot for years. Now a Traffic diversion forces west bound traffic to turn right across oncoming east bound traffic onto B1040. Traffic queuing to turn right obstructs view of traffic leaving Cambridge Rd Eltisley, and also traffic turning right out of B1040. Who thought this would be a good idea? Please reconsider roadworks arrangements and re route diversion.

Diversion route causing dangerous queues
29th October
The diversion route in place due to the A1198 closure at Caxton Gibbet is causing incredibly dangerous queuing and traffic jumping at the junction north of Eltisley. Traffic travelling south and wishing to turn right (towards St Neots) is obstructed from seeing traffic travelling westbound on the A428 by cars queuing to turn north onto the B1040. To negotiate the queues, drivers are forced to blindly cross lanes of traffic into potentially fast moving vehicles. This junction will be the site of numerous fatal collisions if the 4 month diversion remains in place.

Tall Vegetation
22nd June
Location is eastern junction at Eltisley onto A428. Overgrown grass on island prevents drivers wishing to turn right towards Cambridge, from seeing traffic approaching from their right ie from Cambridge. I reported this hazard almost two weeks ago! The same vegetation also hampers clear vision to other traffic on roads around around this island. Needs urgent attention..
