Sunken drain

In Milnrow on Newhey road in front of old fire station near the library a drain is sunken creating a suspension smashing hole. Cars avoiding the sunken drain have to move out towards center of road that is already very narrow.

White van making it difficult to pass
27th April
A new neighbour is parking his long wheelbase company van on the street, he parks half on the pavement instead of his driveway,but it makes it difficult to drive past,residents, visitors and delivery drivers risk damaging wheels and tyres because we have to mount the pavement in order to get past.We have never had this issue before and we have lived here for over 16 years .

Hole where top of a waterboard small grid missing.
25th April
Outside number 15 the top of a what I think is a water board grid is missing leaving a dangerous hole. Also, damage to the grass verge along that stretch of road due to cars parking on the verge. Unfortunately, as cars have recently started parking on both sides of Smith Hill it has narrowed the road somewhat so that people have to park on the verge to prevent accidents. So I have every sympathy with them. Its provision of parking spaces which needs addressing.

Very deep
swear inducing
It is very deep, and mire than one person has burst a tyre on it now, not sure how they miss it like, because it is so darned obvious. But main concern is it it outside the old folks flats and when the exit the rear door, they do tend to cross diagonally at this point on Napier St, drivers really need to go to specsavers, but I wouldn't want one of the elderly to fall there.

Lorry parked on double yellow line

The lorry was parked on a double yellow line , also on the pavement. I found it very difficult to get past, walking. Brambles were obsructing me as well. He was parked theron Friday 14/3/25 at 10.10am. It was opposite the petrol station.

Just after junction 21 lane 2 and 3

Road defect bigger than a pot hole in lane 2 and pot holes between lane 2 and 3 heading west bound just after the junction 21 turn off. this has been here for at lest 6 weeks as i travel this section everyday for work

Failing utility grid making lots of noise
18th February
Large utility grid in middle of carriageway beginning to fail again. Make lots of noise and vibration whenever large vehicles pass over it. Vibrations beginning to cause damage in my house, again. This happens every few years. Please please please can we find a more permanent solution than just relaying tarmac?

Sliproad unlit M62 J21 Westbound
3rd February
In dark/ at night this sliproad is unlit. As you can see from previous diagram it is a severe curve. No lighting or cats eyes. As it's a curve your headlights are not pointing where you are going. I feel it is extremely dangerous. You can't see where you are going and have to slow to 30 mph or lower. This itself is a risk when trying to join the motorway. I believe the minimum speed should be 40mph failing queues or accident? Unbelievably when you fo join the motorway, that section is lit! Seems to me that the sliproad needs to be lit too. Know it's all cost cutting, but the most dangerous part is unlit and the lesser dangerous part of the motorway has cats eyes and lit with lighting. Unsure how long this issue has been present. I would be really grateful if you could investigate this as it seems an accident waiting to happen, unfortunately. Wouldn't feel comfortable noticing, not mentioning it and a bad accident or death occur there. Ps I am a driver with good eyes and over 25 years driving experience. Thanks for your time

A huge pothole in the road and its betteing bigger

It's getting bigger and bigger and my house shakes when a can or bus goes over it also my a car hit it at a high speed it's turns towards my house as a car did it and I was defrosting my car on my drove and it swerved towards me. I think it's a really big hazard to have and it needs sorting out thankyou on on sycamore Avenue in newhey in between number 6 and 8

As previously reported, on the slip road, towards the bottom, there are 3 double sided signs unlit. One is an end of motorway sign, and two are speed limit indicators, down to 40. These are on the slip road, in the blue shaded area, and not the responsibility of the local council.
