High levels of litter along the A1 around the Newark area
26th February
After travelling down the A1 a couple of times in the last month around the Newark area, I was shocked to see the amount of litter along the side of the road on both sides and on the grass verges, its absolutely shocking. It's not just in one place it's everywhere, I travelled down the A1 for a number of miles and the amount of litter was disgusting. It must be affecting the wildlife and environment and needs to be cleared up, who is responsible for cleaning this up? If this is a hot spot for people littering would it be possible to install camera's and fine people for doing it. I have never seen so much litter on any road before.

Large Pothole
2nd May
I am reporting this problem because it has almost caused a RTC. I was driving along this road, northbound in my truck, transporting a vehicle with a trailer. The impact from hitting this pothole caused my vehicle to jolt extremely harsh, and caused my trailer to become detached. Luckily I was able use my truck to stop the detached trailer from veering into other lanes, but as a result there is now damage to my truck, the trailer and the car I was transporting. If I hadn't put myself in the path of the loose trailer this could have caused a major RTC. If the pothole wasn't there, this would have been avoided completely. I am having to claim through my insurance and I am holding the National Highways responsible for this incident.
