Corner of Albany road and south street
22nd June
Sign has been put up to warn of road closures that now completely blocks the view of those trying to turn out of Albany Road (particularly for smaller vehicles). Really, really dangerous and needs moving

Lime Grove
20th June
Same problem every year: branches sprout out of the bottom section of trunk on trees along Lime Grove. The leaves bush right out, blocking both the pavement for pedestrians but also visibility up the road for getting out of drives and also the one on the corner obscures the view up Stoke Road to know if it is safe to pull out. Please come and cut the branches off - was done last year. Thank you.

Stoke Road between Harcourt Close and Elm Lodge Nursing Home
20th June
Tree branches overhanging whole footpath, making it dangerous to walk along. Pushchairs and Motability scooters can't get past. I have to go into the road when walking along with my Son on the path. This happens every Summer. Trees are not on any private property. CBC dealt with last year after similar complaints. Thank you.

Footpath which leads you onto the end of Grovebury Road bus Lane (nearest end to ind. estate)
19th June
Having walked this route for several years now, visibility of the bus lane is impossible as you exit the footpath on to Grovebury Road as the bus lane comes to an end. Shrubbery on the left hand side is overgrown and visibility up the road is not possible unless you are standing in the middle of the road. As such you are then in a bus lane and I have seen on at least three separate occasions near misses whereby children have been on bikes or walking the footpath which then leads them directly into the road. I appreciate you are inundated with reports but I strongly believe it is only going to be a matter of time before a child is struck by a bus as they come out of this path way and into the bus lane exit. Buses travel down the lane at speed and would not see any pedestrian foot traffic from this pathway due to overgrown bushes and the layout of the path which leads them directly into the road. It is incredibly dangerous. A fix to this problem would be clear signage on the floor for children to stop and be aware they are leaving the path and entering a road. The removal of shrubbery from the lane would help visibility for both pedestrians and bus drivers and I would also believe a mirror/aid on the opposite side of the road would assist bus drivers and pedestrians of oncoming traffic. Buses are unfortunately travelling at speeds down that bus lane which would not give them enough reactionary gap to respond to a pedestrian entering the bus lane, which would be no fault of that pedestrian. I have been in the public services for nearing 20 years and would class the current state of that junction as incredibly dangerous for pedestrians, even more so now the bus lane is active. I am happy to show anyone the location and concerns if needed. The location/site is walking distance from two parks which are frequently used by children, and nearing summer holidays I anticipate this being more used, thus increasing the risk of an incident. I have reported this as I cringe whenever I see a bus heading down the lane from Belona drive into the industrial estate. The path way on the right is hidden and buses do not ease off or slow as they near that junction. Awareness needs to be raised to drivers until such times as this problem is solved. Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

A tree root that's getting bigger my husband is blind and trips on it. Also the root is catching water in heavy downpours an guiding it up to our front door and into the back garden and we end up with a lake at the back door. It's been happening over a year but is now getting worse

Outside 23A Summer Street
Leighton Buzzard
This non-functioning street lamp was previously reported on 17.05.25 and given the reference 423101. On 16.06.25 two workmen arrived with a cherry-picker and appeared to be repairing it. But whatever they did hasn't fixed it, as it's still not coming on. (But others further down the street are so it's nothing to do with the evenings being lighter later.)
