The N3 postcode area is located in the London postcode town region, within the county of Greater London, and contains a total of 1130 individual postcodes.

There are 4 electoral wards in the N3 postcode area, including London which come under the local authority of the Barnet Council.

Combining the whole postcode region, 41% of people in N3 are classed as having an AB social grade, (i.e. 'white-collar' middle-upper class), compared to 27% across the UK.

This does not mean that the people of N3 are wealthier - or higher class - than average, but it can be an indication that the area may be prospering and desirable to live in.

The N3 postcode refers to parts of the London boroughs of Barnet and Haringey. This postcode district is mainly residential and covers the neighbourhoods of Finchley, Church End and Woodside Park.

N3 is an affluent and diverse area in London, with a majority of its population being of a white British background, though there are also small ethnic minorities. There are good local schools and low crime rates that contribute to N3's appeal.

Finchley is regarded as the main neighbourhood covered by the N3 postcode and is a busy commuting hub. The area has a range of shopping, entertainment and dining opportunities, such as the Brent Cross Shopping Centre and Golders Hill Park.

Church End is a quiet and picturesque neighbourhood in Finchley, located close to the M1. Here visitors can find a range of period properties, larger houses, as well as lower-rise 1940s flats and developers apartments.

Woodside Park and Totteridge are two distinct areas that are part of the N3 postcode. Totteridge village is mainly known for its expensive housing, and here visitors can enjoy views of undulating green space with two local golf courses. Woodside Park is separately listed as a London village, although it is located just to the east of Totteridge.

Within the N3 postcode are a number of religious and community organisations, as well as two golf courses and two railway stations (Finchley Central and Totteridge and Whetstone). There are also several leisure centres, parks, and clubs for different activities.

Finchley and Woodside Park are also known for their excellent transport connections by rail, underground and road, with two London Underground lines, seven overground stations, as well as several bus routes.
