Road Bridge Repair.

As originally reported by Cllr. Terry Gill at 16:34, Thu 1 August 2024, I was wondering why there has been no work started at this location to resolve the issue of the damaged bridge? I did notice a few months ago, road repair markings? were added to the surface of the bridge area but these have now all but worn off again due to weather and time. It has also been noted that in the past, these lights have had issues (dead batteries?) which have caused them to stop working or glitch. I have personally witnessed many drivers going through them on red even when working properly. I believe this bridge was hit more than a year ago now (could you confirm the exact date in your reply) and there has seemingly been no progress as far as I can see. Also, I was wondering if I can find how much it is costing taxpayers to rent the signs, cones and traffic lights for this period?

A tree has fallen and is obstructing the cycle path

A tree has fallen and is partially blocking the cycle path on the north side of the road near South Hunsley School. This is very dangerous and needs dealing with urgently because there is no street lighting on this section of cycle path and it is eye level. If a cyclist were to hit it in the dark, it could cause a nasty facial injury or damage their eyes. It is located approximately halfway along the section of path where the path to the school runs the other side of the hedge.

When leaving Welton village on Cowgate you join the slip road of traffic leaving the A63. Weeds are obscuring the view of traffic coming along slip road and is very dangerous.

Flooded footpath

Missing or damaged footpath on Welton road. If is raining the water stay there and cannot even pass safely while cars are passing next to you. They can hit anyone or even splash them with standing water. Its dangerous , also just cannot get a nice walk there as the pavement is missing.

Bridge Strike 9-11-2023 Bridge closed

I know you are aware of bridgevstrike over A63 (HU15 1 HY) by Brough / Elloughton. A63 was closed several hours butbridge inspected and A63 reopened to pass underneath. However bridge and Dale Road remain closed for local traffic. My question is who is responsible for the bridge, further structura inspection and repairs, as so that local traffic can resume over A63 on Dale road? Is it National Highways or EastRiding council? (if it is yourselves can you give aany update please, as the locl community now hve to divert on a wholly unsuitable local road?) Many thanks

A63 night closure for works - Welton residents have had enough

I report as an East Riding County Councillor with feedback from residents who live in the village of Welton, Brough. It has been observed that the works to install new barriers along this stretch is going to take until Jun 25th. All vehicles travelling Westwards have been routed through narrow streets of Welton. This is tricky and noisy for large vehicles and residents have has enough disturbance particularly at night. Is there any way you could consider opening up one lane on the A63 to alleviate this?

Concerns over no protection barrier for school route

Parents of children who attend the nearby South Hunsley School are still concerned that the footpath is unprotected along the A63 whilst the footpath works are underway. There is currently no barrier and despite the temporary 40 mph limit parents are not satisfied. Should the footpath be closed until works are complete? [email removed]
