The whole of this public byway needs resurfacing there is water damage all along it , making it very dangerous. There could be a serious accident on it , its a danger to life and limb. this has been reported no end of times before and not got anywhere. this issue has been going on since March 2024 when i reported it numerous times . Why are you doing nothiing about it?

From the junction of Nut Hazel Cross Farm HP5 3NU to approximately just before Short Heath Farm HP5 3BA The entire road surface is deteriorating between the above postcodes Large potholes, sections of missing road surface and general appalling road surface. Needs addressing as a matter of urgency.

Long term pothole likely to cause tyre/wheel problem. Turn left at the top of Rays Hill, go round the left hand bend and it's on your left.

Chesham Rd

from jn with Vale Rd for about 300m

This road is slowly falling apart still. I reported this by telephone MANY years ago (pre-pandemic), to be told the council were aware that it needed doing desperately but that funds were not currently available. 6+ years later and nothing has been done, and to be now told it is not bad enough to warrant repair is frankly a ridiculous statement.

This sharp corner is in a terrible state with multiple pot-holes and general rough surface, and has been like this for many, many years. It is in desperate need of resurfacing PROPERLY over a length of 20m(?) or so, not just temporary repair that usually falls apart after the first bit of rain.

There are quite a few drains along this section of road, ALL of them are filled with grit/debris, so they are not doing the job intended. This will only exacerbate any flooding issue along the Vale.

Pothole road surface

1st May

This road surface and potholes on one of the corners of oak lane has deteriorated over the time that sandpit hill was closed and the re direction route was guided through ok lane (over a year) also road markings have completely worn away on the road which highlights 40 mph and the speeding and crashes down the this lane over the the last year have been very high. Especially as we have young children that wait for there bus and like to go out on there bikes and it isnt safe to do so.

From the junction

the road towards wiggington is in a very poor state of repair for some 200 to 300 meters.

Road surface is appalling, needs planing & resurfacing, surface "dressing" is not suitable. I reported this to Bucks County Council many years ago, pre-pandemic, to be told they were aware but currently short of funds. NOTHING has been done in the intervening years. Also, it seems ALL the drains from same jn for over half a mile are totally blocked with grit & general detritus.

Very poor road surface

There are several deep potholes on the left side of Rays Hill as you approach Conkers in the direction of Chesham road. The whole road surface has failed and needs attending to before a cyclist or vehicle experiences damage.

The road surface has failed. It was patched up about a year ago but these repairs have also failed. It is dangerous causing cars to swerve over the wrong side of the road to avoid the holes.

A trench the width of the road

Previous contractors cable trench across the width of the road means local cars slow to almost a stop to avoid bone shaking; cars behind may be unaware of problem & there will soon be an accident when car is rammed.
