The Turnpike - west side
between Manor Road and Ashfield Rise
HGVs travelling up The Turnpike are habitually running up on the pavement. As a result, this is breaking up / sinking and becoming a trip-hazard. This is a well-used route for young children and older pedestrians.

Both have steel edges protruding above the surface of the road. One has a large hoje along the edge. Would definitely cause damage to my bike tyre ifI didn't negotiate them carefully

When are you going to fix this lethal stretch of road?
31st March
Totally failed, disgraceful, dangerous section of road on both sides, on the hill and continuing towards Murcott. Previous reports say "The Highway Officer has attended the site and carried an inspection based on your report. As a result of this inspection, we plan to resolve the issue reported within five working days." From January - it's been 3 months, not 5 days, and still nothing is being done expect placing signs to say "failed road surface" as if that's not obvious. This road is dangerous, drivers use the lane for oncoming traffic to avoid the potholes and trenches, cyclists risk getting thrown off into oncoming traffic due to the bend on the downhill section and the severity of the holes and trenches. How can this road not be top of the priority list for fixing properly?

Is this your idea of fixed?
27th March
A near continuous succession of surface defects for about a mile and your solution appears to be a few shovel fulls of tarmac badly packed into about five of the numerous holes and patches of eroded, broken, corrugated surface.
I would like to personally invite anyone from Bucks CC who thinks this road is in an acceptable condition to join me in riding a road bike each way down this stretch and then see if they can tell me it doesn't need urgent repair. It's a disgrace. It has been for years and oddly enough, it's not getting any better on its own. Please fix it properly.
