Faded single and double yellow lines
17th May
Faded yellow lines all the way down middle street. it makes access to my house very difficult and dangerous with the amount of cars park on faded yellow lines. also the junction of castle street and middle street has faded double yellow lines so cars are parked right on the junction making visibility really dangerous especially as we have a primary school so that means lots of young children.

Unpermitted roadworks problem
14th May
Email received 14/05/2025 - copy attached. Customer would like more information on the intended closure of Horns Road, where they live, in Stroud. Residents have noticed a sign saying that the road will be shut for 15 days from 26th May, for Virgin Media works. It was only a few weeks ago that the road and pavements were dug up, causing mess, nuisance and in their case litter, as some workmen chose to leave their rubbish in their front garden. They realise they all want broadband, but would like to know why this is happening again so soon and to be assured these works are necessary for the benefit of all.

Whenever I pass this bin is always overflowing. Ive reported it 6 or 7 times. Why cant it be replaced with a bigger one, with a lid (to prevent the smell of dog poo affecting the whole street) and face it away from the houses. Its disgusting

Very faded road lines
7th May
The yellow road markings in many areas up and down Middle Street are extremely faded.
Cars parking on the faded lines are making it difficult for larger vehicles to pass, including bin lorries, fire engines and ambulances.
Parking places are also being blocked, so cars speed as they know they won't be able to pass, which also affects safety.
Residents have reported concerns to the residents' committee many times.
Residents have been reporting concerns to GCC since 2023 (!) but no action has been taken and no date has been given for repainting.
However, other streets nearby, including Acre Street and Bowbridge Lane, have been repainted in recent months.
Please could you urgently repaint the faded road markings on Middle Street?
