Multiple Pot Holes
29th January
The Road from the B6278 towards Low Waskerley farm has multiple potholes. In recent weeks the potholes have got significantly worse. The road beyond Low Waskerley has been repaired, but this area has not as yet. There are sections where we have to drive on the grass verge to avoid damaging our tyre or wheels

Huge pothole getting bigger by the day
29th January
This pothole is growing daily and is exacerbated by the speed of traffic coming over the bridge! It also doesnt help that people who work at the home opposite Bridge Island are parking on the road as people come across the bridge making the pothole the only course to take

A section of right of way is inaccesible
30th October
The section of the Right of way between NZ 08434 50707 and NZ 08593 51178 is blocked by several fences with barbed wire, and no sign of stiles or right of way signage. There are alternative routes along the river, but the only mapped right of way crosses the field, and this is where there are barbed wire fences with no stile. On the OS map the Right of way clearly deviates from the other paths along the river bank

Water burst through the side of the road
probably from a blocked underground drain
Water is gushing out from the side of the road in a considerable volume, flooding the lower part of Pike Hill and overwhelming the first two drains on Burnmill Bank. It first occurred after the heavy rains early last week

The whole stretch of road B6278 especially leading down from Snods Edge to Shotley Bridge is in need of attention.
19th September
The road needs resurfacing and has been in poor condition for sometime now and will further deteriorate as the weather worsens as the onset of winter arrives! This road is well used to connect the A68 to the A694 and also the activities of the Church and Church hall at Snods Edge which is well attended use this road daily.

Rough road service with some pot holes
10th July
The road has been repaired towards Snods and it is much better but the bit in the dip crossing the Burn is narrow and very uneven. This is dangerous when vehichles are traveling at speed and especially when it is wet. Cars tend to move to the centre of the road to avoid the uneven areas at the edges- but the centre of the road is now also in a very poor condition. Thank you
