Military Museum of Devon and Dorset

The Devonshire Regiment, The Dorset Regiment, The Devonshire and Dorset Regiment, The Dorset Yeomanry, The Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry, The Dorset Militia, The Royal Devon Yeomanry and 94 Field Regiment RA are all represented in the Keep Museum which underwent major refurbishment in 1995. Touch screen computers and videos together with creative displays tell the stories of courage, humour and sacrifice of the soldiers and their families who have served in the regiments of Devon and Dorset for over 300 years.

Tutankhamun Exhibition

The Dinosaur Museum

Terracotta Warriors Museum

This is the only museum devoted to the terracotta warriors - now regarded as the 8th Wonder of the Ancient World - outside of China. The terracotta warriors created worldwide fascination when 6000 of them were discovered in a pit in 1974 guarding the First Emperor of China's tomb.

Hardy's Cottage

Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum

The Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum tells the harrowing tale of the Martyrs arrest, trial and punishment, leading to the foundation of modern day trade unionism. Low wages, appalling conditions and unemployment, bad winters and poor harvests in 1829 and 1830 fuelled a great explosion of anger, resulting in riots led by the mythical 'Captain Swing' in November 1830.

RSPB Radipole Lake
