Signs still not fixed
6th May
Signs on this roundabout, as well as the Morton Park roundabout and Great Burdon roundabout still not fixed. There are multiple signs missing on each roundabout and this has been the case for over a year. Can national highways provide a timeframe for repair? More than a year is negligent really.

Vegetation and Debris on the Roundabout
1st May
The entire section of the A66 around Darlington has now been roadswept for many years. This is evident from the build up of debris and rubble at all of the highways junctions and roundabouts. In some cases, the amount of debris covers the road markings.
The entire highway is in need of roadsweeping, gutter sweeping and the junctions need to be swept and weeded.

Listed Building
26th April
I've noticed that the Grade 2 listed building at address 50 Haughton Green, Darlington as installed new UPV downstairs windows. My understand is that planning permission needs to be obtained before this type of work can be carried out on a listed building. Being a local resident I have checked the local planning register and can not see any application for this work.

No lane markings
17th April
There are no lane markings to indicate which lane to use to continue on the A66. There are two lanes approaching the roundabout, and one lane to come off. There is also no right turn so cars use both lanes to use the same exit and there have been many near misses. It is unclear from the lack of road markings which lane to use.

Beck that runs along the back of these houses has been filled with household rubbish bags, as its narrow with no vehicle access I would surmise it has come from the residents.

Multiple Signs Missing
13th March
The signs on the roundabout are a mess - multiple missing, on the roundabout and directional sings at exits. The road markings are also very worn. It seems to be taking National Highways an exceptionally long time to sort these issues - surely the National group in charge of roads can fix some signs?

It is several weeks now since the fallen tree was chopped up. The branches have been left behind , if nothing is done soon the birds will be nesting in them and then they will have to stay until the nesting season is finished. Also children could be injured they are already playing with the rubble which was put into the park which the walls owner moved it . As can be seen from the photos
