Large pot hole on A422 near Sn Rising Hill

This pot hole has been here for many months, and is become larger and larger, to the extent that cars avoid it by crossing the white line and partially driving in to on coming traffic.

Fly Tipped Mattress on Tysoe Road
just off A422
Mattress dumped on the side of the Tysoe Road, just off A422 and north of Sunrising Natural Burial Ground. Also car debris on grass verge of A422, west of this turning to Tysoe, on left hand side as going up Sunrising Hill.

Signs put back up with speeds the wrong way round.

After the original give way sign was knocked down, a temporary one was put in place which is still there. Two signs have recently been put back up but speed signs are the wrong way round. The post on the left as you are looking from the A422 is also leaning over and very loose.

Pothole 50cm long x 30cm wide x 15cm Deep
5th January
Pothole is on busy main road, A422. Cannot be seen at night so cars hit at speed. In daylight, cars swerve to avoid, crossing centre line on the approach to a blind summit on the lower slopes of Sunrising Hill. PS White lines worn away badly too.

Road Surface deforming
27th October
On the A422, Very approximately between Pillerton Priors and the turn to lower Tysoe undulations in the road seem to be getting significantly worse. I realise that repairs were made to previous undulations some years ago , however the state of the deformations seems to be worsening again in some places. Sorry I am not 100% specific but the "bumps" are spread out between the two places mentioned..

Runoff from pig sewage flooding road
3rd February
For many weeks a large dump of pig waste just inside a field gateway on the east side of the road has caused waste to flow out of the gateway across the road. The farm continues to build the heaps of waste. The material on the road is a health hazard and also makes it necessary to use a long diversion to travel from Oxhill to Kineton. The danger is particularly great for cyclists.

Extremely Dangerous flooding on road.
7th November
There is extremely dangerous flooding about 3/4 of a mile before going up Sunrising hill near edge hill. Its on the main road travelling from pillerton priors to Banbury. Someone has already crashed at about 7am. its is at least 6 inches deep and if not attended to immediately could cause a serious incident. Please can police attend to provide warning ASAP. Its a fast road and the flooding is not very visible.

Bridge by the sewage works is not there
4th August
I tried to walk the footpath SS36c? from Middle Tysoe to Lower Tysoe that goes by the sewage works and met with several obstructions.
The sign on the gate was missing. Over the first stream the hedge branches could only just be forced through. They need cutting back because they obstruct passage and obstruct the fact that there is a plank bridge over a ditch.
Then at the sewage works I pushed through the brambles etc which were growing across the path and through the fence of the sewage works up to head height.
Then there was no crossing at the stream. I retraced my steps through a field with a bull, which I had hoped to do only once.
I believe that the farm is in council ownership.
I haven't walked this footpath for some time so don't know how long the issues been present.

Roadsign and cones closing road to A3400
26th June
Cones and a Yellow sign are in the carriageway at the beginning of the Kineton road towards Oxhill from the A422. The sign states road is closed and there is no access to the A3400 (nb this is 6 miles away through three villages!!) Sign instructs to use the diversion. There is no diversion signed at all so how can a driver decide what to do? The is no mention at all of this on the roadworks.org site and I have looked at the next two weeks. The sign has been there at least since Saturday when we returned from holiday and had to guess whether or not we could get home in Oxhill towing our caravan.

Deformed road getting worse
16th September
On the A442 the stretch of road between the turn to Tysoe and Pillerton Priors (several miles) there are several areas where the road surface has become VERY badly deformed. In some places road marks can be seen where the underside of vehicles have grounded. Some deformations are sufficiently severe to be dangerous. I travel several times a week along that road and it is certainly getting worse.

Blocked right of way

There is no indication on the ground of this right of way . It is blocked by a hedge and barbed wire. Also the path from Red House Farm to here is in a poor state with broken markers and overgrown gates
