There are really big potholes that cars are having to avoid making them swerve. The surface of the main ring road in all lanes especially the outside lane next to the train training building is really dangerous.

Request to remove tree, 13th June

Thu, 13 Jun 2024 22:04:40 +0100
52.504597 -1.874447

I am writing to request the removal or trimming of a tree located directly in front of my house at 19 Beales Street. No action was taken till now, even after reporting the incident several times to the housing officer. The tree has become a significant inconvenience for the following reasons: Bird Droppings: Birds frequently perch on the tree, resulting in an excessive amount of droppings on my property. This has become a daily nuisance, creating a mess on my windows, doors, and the front area of my house. Health and Hygiene: The accumulation of bird droppings poses a health hazard, especially when it lands on surfaces that are regularly touched. The droppings also contribute to an unpleasant smell and unsanitary conditions. Safety Concerns: The bird droppings are not only falling on my property but also on individuals walking past or underneath the tree, posing a potential slip hazard and causing discomfort. Given these issues, I kindly request that the tree be either trimmed or removed entirely to alleviate these problems. I understand the importance of trees to our environment and community, but the current situation is unsustainable and adversely affecting my quality of life. Thank you for considering my request.

Play area needs urgent cleaning / upgrading!, 12th June

Wed, 12 Jun 2024 20:26:15 +0100
52.504013 -1.886749

I am writing to bring to your urgent attention the extremely poor condition of the children’s play area in Aston Park on Fredrick Road. The current state of the playground is alarming and poses significant safety risks for children. During a recent visit with my daughter, I observed the following issues: 1. **Swings**: The swings need immediate replacement as they have been set alight and are completely unusable. 2. **Overall Cleanliness**: The entire area is covered in moss and dirt, with a noticeable accumulation of bird droppings. 3. **Slide**: The slide, along with other equipment, is in dire need of a thorough cleaning to remove grime and bird excrement. Given the imminent summer holidays, it is crucial that these issues are addressed promptly. Children will be using the play area more frequently, and it is currently neither safe nor hygienic for them to do so. As a concerned parent, I was unable to allow my daughter to use any of the rides due to their filthy and broken condition. I strongly urge the council to take immediate action to clean, repair, and upgrade the playground facilities. This will ensure that the children of our community have a safe and enjoyable place to play during the summer break. Also it would be nice if you could add more adult friendly gym equipment like the play area in Mansfield park off Albert Road. The Aston park play area is a more busy and more frequently visited play area by a lot of parents. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to seeing swift improvements.

Over grown tress/bushes scratching cars from council land, 10th June

Mon, 10 Jun 2024 12:41:51 +0100
52.500746 -1.907015

Hi, Could we please have someone come and cut down the overgrown trees and bushes blocking access to Lozells Street cul-de-sac, Grove, B19 2AP? The issue is on the left side of 87 Lozells Street. The vegetation is on council property and has become so overgrown that it is scratching cars when entering and exiting the grove. And soon it will block half the road if not maintained! This needs to be addressed to prevent further damage to vehicles. I attached picture from google maps for demonstration, but it is 10x worse right now. Thank you.
