Tree down, 23rd May

Thu, 23 May 2024 21:43:14 +0100
52.51048 -1.902616

Noticed tree on it's side whilst cycling up Birchfield Road, a Rowan tree. It is in the gardens where there are flats or masonette's. Can't miss it as it is hanging over path. It has only turned on it's side due to the fact it is on a bank and it rained all day. Because the tree was in full leaf and flower the rain has weighed it down. I think the roots are fine and still in the ground and it could be lifted up with a machine and re compact the soil around the base with a possible stake to support it.

Obstruction on Ettington Road outside 48 and 44, 21st May

Tue, 21 May 2024 22:14:56 +0100
52.50466 -1.889818

Obstruction on Ettington Road that has been causing significant inconvenience and danger to residents and the general public. Specifically, abandoned road work bollards have been left between 48 Ettington Road and 44 Ettington Road for several weeks, and no action has been taken to remove them. These bollards are obstructing the highway, making it difficult for residents to park their vehicles and navigate the road safely. The situation is particularly concerning as it presents a hazard to both drivers and pedestrians. Just recently, I witnessed a member of the public nearly run over the bollards with their vehicle, highlighting the potential for accidents and injury. I urge you to take immediate action to have these bollards removed to restore safe and unobstructed access to the road. The prompt resolution of this matter is essential to ensure the safety and convenience of all road users in the area.
