Footpath inaccessible
29th August
The photos, taken from both sides of the hedge show that the footpath is totally covered by the hedge. The growth shows that this hedge has spread over several years. The hedge appears to have been trimmed as not too overgrown.
Given that this issue will cause pedestrians to walk on the road and the proximity to the junction with Main Street this must be considered a hazard.

No Through Road Sign required
19th August
Mearns Community Council were advised by a Luthermuir resident that, while she was being transported to hospital by ambulance in the dark the driver attempted to use this road, guided by sat nav, to reach the A90 at Northwaterbridge.
Fire Engines, delivery drivers and others appear to have the same issue when using sat nav.
There is also an issue with these vehicles having to reverse back onto a narrow street which frequently has cars parked on it. It is not a well lit road!
Can a no through road sign be erected. This could be a matter of life or death in an emergency as was almost the case last week.
