FIXMYSTREET IN AB30 1NJ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of AB30 1NJ:
Deteriorating road surface and potholes, 25th April
I reported this deteriorating road surface on the entry to the A90 at Fordoun, way back in March 2023. The Aberdeenshire Council enquiry reference was 739996 and dated 27th March 2023. Since then, the entry on FixMyStreet together with photographs has been removed twice by someone. On 27th March 2023, the Council stated that a site visit was required.
The current surface makes it difficult and potentially dangerous to accelerate and pull out safely onto the A90 and with complete control of the vehicle. Coming off the A90 there is long pothole on the border of the tarmac with the A90 creating what feels like driving down a step. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN – PLEASE STOP MARKING THIS FAULT AS FIXED ON FIXMYSTREET WHICH WILL REMOVE IT. IT ISN’T FIXED AND HASN’T BEEN FOR OVER A YEAR.

36(L)x12(W)x4(D) inch pothole at Powburn, 27th October
There is a massive pothole at the location shown. This has been there for many months and has caused countless instances of damage to car tyres including my own on 16th Oct @ 9:45pm. This has resulted in destruction of my front passenger side tyre costing me £80 for a replacement. I am so annoyed about this. We are so poorly served ny the road dept. in South Aberdeenshire!

Potholes and deteriorating road surface, 23rd October
I reported this deteriorating road surface on the entry to the A90, way back in March 2023. The report has since disappeared off FixMyStreet. The Aberdeenshire Council enquiry no. was 739996. However, on 27th March, the Council stated that a site visit was required. I don't believe that this ever happened and no doubt there is a post Storm Babet backlog of work now. This is an urgent repair. The current surface makes it difficult and potentially dangerous to accelerate and pull out safely onto the A90 and with complete control of the vehicle.

Unavoidable pothole., 13th October
There are several potholes on this stretch of road. One in particular - perhaps more appropriate to say two that are looking to merge. While most of the potholes can be dodged in daylight this one cannot be missed by any vehicle.
The potholes have been there for some time and have now increased to a degree that warrants repair.

Road surface failure, 16th August
This junction has never been fixed properly, it's always been a temp bodge job. :"That will do approach". This is now causing a significant danger to life, as cars can not smoothly accelerate onto the A90. Im very worried that a death will happen, this junction has had quite a few accidents over the years, this will also contribute. The fact others have reported it and its still not been fixed leaves me concerned and in fear of my life when I leave the village.

Grass Verge Requires Trimming, 1st July
Can somebody please cut the long grass at the junctions onto the A90? When pulling out onto the A90 from U99K, it’s very difficult to see traffic travelling south on the dual carriageway due to a slight dip in the road between Middleton and Upperton. Can you cut a fair distance along and wide to negate this problem? Thank you.

More Potholes, 29th June
It didn’t take long for a series of potholes to reappear. Some are difficult to avoid as they are beginning to stretch across the road. This poor single track road is being used by heavy construction and forestry vehicles.
