Overhanging trees
16th July
There are many sycamore trees along this stretch of road which are growing on the verge and obscuring vision. There should be nothing growing between the road and the dyke except short grass. These trees could've been taken out with lopers 15 years ago (I complained about them back then) however it will now need chainsaws etc. Please get these all removed asap as it just gets worse every year.

Potential fake speed limit sign
14th July
A sign has been put up on South Deeside Road on the bend just after ardoe hotel with a 40 mph speed limit on one side and a national speed limit sign on the other. I believe this could be fake.

Dangerous potholes
25th May
Some of the worst I've ever seen. If someone hits this in the dark they'll have a serious crash. Potholes isn't doing it justice, these are enormous craters.

Large potholes covering the width of the road.
3rd January
There are very large potholes covering the whole width of the road and are now in a dangerous state of repair. I reported these potholes in January 2020 and Aberdeenshire Council have been to inspect them but to date no work has been carried out.

Large trees need cut
16th December
There are many large sycamore trees growing on. The verge. Should've been cut down years ago when they were saplings but have been allowed to grow vey big. Scratch cars and obscure vision. Shouldn't be anything growing between the road and the wall except for neatly cut grass verge.

Banchory Devenick needs a 30mph speed designation!
23rd October
I am baffled why Blairs has 30mph speed designation where (1) the road is straight and visibility good, (2) the road has designated, painted lanes for traffic going both ways, (3) there are sidewalks on both sides of the road, and (4) there are no driveways that exit directly onto North Deeside Rd. Whereby in Banchory Devenick there are (1) blind bends, (2) NO sidewalks, (3) the roads are not even wide enough in some spots for two cars to pass, and (4) there are at least 5 driveways exiting onto the main road.! Please can we have a new speed designation of 30mph for Banchory Devenick. We would welcome a formal review of driving safety during rush hour by a police officer.

Large
jagged pothole right at blind bend has still not been fixed. Others were fixed in the area but this one is getting worse and impossible to avoid without risking hitting oncoming traffic
Pothole has been reported before in July and logged as fixed but it has NOT been fixed since originally reported. It will result in a pinched flat for someone. Impossible to avoid as it's right on the apex of a blind bend.

Mass amount of stone chippings on South Deeside Road
5th July
The mass amount of stone chippings along South Deeside road has resulted in a chip in my windscreen and damage to my paintwork. The stones were left for 2 days an caused serious damage to my car. I now have to arrange for the car to be resprayed and the windscreen replaced. The state of the road is a severe hazard! If a response is not met, I will forced to seek legal advice

Loose large stones on road
3rd July
My car has been struck by stones while driving well below the recommended limit. There appears to have been a huge over sight into leaving that many loose stone on an extreme busy road. Cars driving towards me flung stones into the air which have now damage my paint work. If no response or action is taken I will be taking action via my car insurance.

Banchory Devenick desperately needs a 30mph limit from all approaches
26th June
This is a popular bike route for commuters and exercisers, including a number of CHILDREN both walking and biking. There are dogwalkers, there are blind bends with driveway access, at some points the roads are not wide enough even for 2 cars to pass each other. During rush hour there are many cars coming through Banchory Devenick at 60mph, with no regard for pedestrians and bikers. Please, please can you install a 30mph limit for the couple of kilometers around this junction. It is dangerous not only for cars, but also for pedestrians and cyclists.

Solar powered SLOW sign is facing the wrong way and not lighting up
26th June
As you come into Banchory Devenick on C5K from the direction of the A90 there is a solar powered SLOW sign which keeps getting blown by the wind to face the wrong direction. It makes no difference to the speed of traffic coming through Banchory Devenick. The issue is worst during rush hours, but it makes getting out of driveways really tricky. An actual 30mph speed limit sign would be much safer, especially considering how many dogwalkers and kids there are on bikes in this area.

Large pothole at blind bend (on left side of road when heading towards the school).
26th June
There are potholes all along this stretch of road (C34K) from The Crossroads to field beside Upper Brandmyres farmhouse. One in particular is very sharp and on a blind bend (just past Woodside Farm) - left side of road on blind bend). These potholes have been getting progressively worse over the last 6 months. It's forcing cars to drive on the other side of the road.
