My Street Watch Patrol was approached with reports of an increase in incidents of vehicles leaving Rookery Lane at junction with High Street and turning left resulting in travelling the wrong way along High Street towards the roundabout. Comments also on the excessive speed of many of these vehicles. Concerns for head on crash, also collision with vehicles reversing from designated On Street parking along the High Street also for pedestrians not expecting vehicles from that direction.

Planter overhanging roadway

Im one of Aldridge Volunteer Gardeners. This large rectangular planter has been knocked before and moved closer to the roadway. It must have been knocked again as it is now overhanging the road. There are double yelllow lines there so parking is not allowed but it is a possible hazard. It is too heavy to move manually.

Dangerous parking

There are a number of cars, vans and heavy goods vehicles blocking the pavements and parking on the bends of roads blocking visual access for on coming traffic and blocking the pavement for pram and wheelchair access forcing myself with young children into the road that is not visible clear for me or other vehicles coming around the bends.
