Royal mail storage box
rusty eyesore.
This locker box thing of royal mails, stands right outside my house (76 churchbalk lane) on the pavement, it looks awful, scruffy, rusty and is in desperate need of replacing or refurbishment. It's an eyesore and needs some attention please.

Collapsing brick paved kerb

The brick paved kerb on the right going down into The Delph is collapsing (see photo) and the soil in the immediate vicinity is saturated in spite of the recent long spell of dry weather, and the adjacent household at 27 Houndhill Lane is reporting a damp problem. A broken surface water drain or leaking water pipe is suspected.

Dangerous situaton next to footpath
15th April
On the public footpath to the west of Becketts scrapyard there is a significant hazard from the scrapyard. There are items stacked at high level that are above the fence line and posing a danger to footpath users. In addition there is vegetation and scrap items leaning on the fence, causing this to lean significantly towards the path. This could fall onto a path user and cause significant harm. The scrapyard needs to deal with these issues urgently.

Had no street lighting for 3yrs now

We have had no street lighting for 3yrs now This has been previously reported but had no feed back It was reported over 10 wks ago on this site However it as also been reported several times to the building company who built the properties on this new build site with Avant homes It is my understanding that the lights insitu have no cables laid to them to connect to power which the council are aware of So any update information you could provide would be very helpful Thank you Mrs P Morrell

Our street lights are still not switched on This reported over 8 weeks ago I was told initially that you would need to give the house builder 8 weeks to respond So just need to be updated on this situation has we have lived here 3 years now with no lighting Thank you Mrs Morrell

but water bubbling from what appears to be a broken drain
This excessive amount of water, and I accept that rain and snow over the last week have exacerbated the issue, means that more and more water is being diverted onto Pontefract and District Golf course. We will lose members, and therefore revenue, because of this.

Deep pot hole leading to Morrisons carpark
2nd December
The pothole spans the width of the road leading to Pontefract Morrisons carpark and council car parks. It is very deep as seen in picture (it had been raining but shows how deep it is) and when cars go through it, it will eventually cause damage. There is no way cars can avoid it and has been there for a number of months.

Drivers ignoring no left or right turn

Because of the road closure prior to this road drivers are ignoring no left or right turn . So they are going up the one way road the wrong way . We nearly had a head on going down this street and that car was not the only one need a cctv sign to stop this

Deep Hole

Because Station Lane hasn't been cleared of leaves it's difficult to determine where the kerb is and one of the bollards has been removed and the hole left open but hidden by the leaves. I'm sure this hole was there at the back end of summer.

From the Zebra Crossing at the bottom of Baghill right up to Silvers Cars there are brambles hanging down to the footpath with very sharp thorns which could cause serious injury, especially to children or the visually impaired.

This estate doesnt have a through road and the maps have been updated to say it is so emergency services have had an issue when attending an incident. Maps need updated to say the road is closed and the estate has 2 entrances but cant drive through

Park on the pavement

This car is parked on the pavement which is obstructing people who use this route on motorised scooters and wheelchairs, a search shows it has recenlty been taxed but the mot is due shortley, yet it has remained here for over two weeks, and over previouse months it has moved occasionally but always spends most of its life here, we are also unable to park our own vechicles outside our own house
