Inconsistent signs M62 J26-27 East
30th March
Hi
Ive reported this issue before. The variable speed limit signage are not working properly. I travelled through the area approx 5pm on Sat 29/3. First signs said 60 then blank (no signs) then 60 again then national speed. This is really confusing and dangerous- drivers were speeding up assuming any issue was clear only to see a restriction again.
The previous time I reported this it was even more dangerous with lane closure signs being confused. At that time it was really dangerous as lane 2/3 was closed, yet next sign was blank so vehicles were moving back into those lanes despite workmen on the road.
If these signs dont work they need to be decommissioned until they properly fixed. Current state is confusing and dangerous.

The shared cycle/footpath is overgrown
15th November
The path between Gildersome Roundabout and the Retails shopping parks at J27 is a shared cycle/footpath and is overgrown with brambles. This makes cycling on there quite tricky and dangerous as the widht of the path is significantly reduced, forcing cyclists close to the road edge. This puts cyclists at risk; if they should become unstable for any reason, they could end up in the road

Variable signage incomplete and confusing
11th November
The variable speed signs are broken and showing haphazard information
On the same board, lane 1/3 only showing a speed not lane 2
Signage between boards is misleading and confusing
1st board shows hard shoulder closed, next sign shows nothing
The signs are really dangerous and need fixing to show clear and consistent instructions
Not all sections on the boards are showing information creating confusion on what lanes are open.
2 weeks ago I reported an incident to police as board one showed lane 1 open lane 2/3 closed, next board showed nothing so cars moved across assuming lanes open despite workmen on road.

There is an extensive amount of litter that has been there for over a year, even before the road works had started. I reported it then, but it appears that nothing has been done, even though the verge has been trimmed.
