bushes and weeds to the right of 71 Howard Drive
The overgrown mess is now taking over our allocated parking space. We have lived at 69 Howard Drive for almost 10 years and the weeds have never been sorted! This cannot be left any longer!

Street name sign crashed into and ripped from cement and block paving footing. Sign leg is also bent.
1st June
On 24/05/2025 at 14:40 I witnessed a van reverse at speed into the Thiepval Road sign situated at the junction with Baker Lane, what3words ///robot.spine.book. The impact bent the leg of the sign and ripped it out of the ground, dislodging the block paving in which it was mounted.
The driver although aware of the collision did not stop however it was captured clearly on CCTV which has been passed to the police. I am able to share this CCTV and to provide the vehicle details for insurance purposes should they be required.
The sign is currently laying on the floor next to the holes and the block paving is dislodged.

Flytipping in Angel Walk

A huge pile of stuff gas been dumped outside of Barnardo's, directly under the signs asking people not to leave things outside and explaining they will not be open until Wednesday.
The bags have already been torn open and their contents dumped over the walkway.

Barnardos charity shop in Angel Walk, Tonbridge is closed every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the moment and this is the sight that greets us on those days. I own Grace Fashion next door and this is doing nothing for my business, it puts people off coming up Angel Walk.

Continuous flytipping
26th February
Despite reporting this problem in December nothing has been done, greeted recently by beer cans and odd bits of metal dumped in the bushes. This is a continuous problem and the fact that nothing is done is an invitation for the people concerned to continue with their actions. The bushes need cutting back to the fence which will result in a clearer, neater area. The bushes are overgrown and encroach onto the pathway which is a busy walkway due to the school at the end of the road, its an accident waiting to happen and who knows what else is dumped in the bushes, I also fear for the school childrens safety.

Litter pick bags for collection please.
21st February
Myself & a neighbour undertook a litter pick on the 20th & 21st February of the B2017 Tudeley Road whilst it was closed for resurfacing. Our initial 7 bags were collected by a council van which happened to pass by. There are now an additional 4 piles. 1) Opposite Somerhill School entrance x 11 bags. 2) Heading to Tudeley LHS at field entrance before woods x 8 bags. 3) Shortly after 2) on RHS x 8 bags. 4) Corner of Goldsmid Hall entrance lane RHS x 8 bags. Plus assorted road detritus. We would appreciate collection asap. Thank you.

Overgrown bushes

These overgrown bushes are an ongoing problem, I have reported this twice before and my report has been acted on but only trimmed back slightly. Ideally these bushes need cutting right back to the boundary which will expose the green and reduce the amount of continual fly tipping in this area. Its a great shame as the other green areas locally are well attended to with no signs of fly tipping.

Commercial vehicle parked on private parking
14th November
Our little neighborhood has got a private driveway with two parking spaces for visitors parking. Since September, we have a commercial (hackney garage) vehicle constantly uses this two spaces without any permission given. Sometimes we have one taxi car parked here, sometimes - two of them, for various length of time from a couple of hour to a couple of days, but on the regular bases. We do very much appreciate our privacy (and there is a sigh at the road saying it is Private Road. Also, when we need to use our visitors parking for our visitors, like they are designed to be used, often happens that it is taken by unknown commercial cars. I am wondering if it is legal and is that any way to prevent taxi drivers use our parking as their free spare parking space? Thank you.
