Trees completely overgrown covering street lamps

All along the trees next to the gasworks are completely overgrown and covering the light from the street lights making it quite unsafe.
As the nights get darker earlier, there is the potential for crime as its so poorly lit and a number of kids use this as their route home from school or the station

Insufferable noise

Hello I am Simon Crowley from Childsbridge Lane Kemsing in Kent and I recently submitted a complaint/report to Kent County Council who tell me that you are the organisation I need to speak to. Many residents of Childsbridge lane, Castle drive and indeed other locations along the M26 have for many years been putting up with terrible and unremitting traffic noise emanating from the M26. Some years ago a plan to resurface this stretch was shelved due to costs even though it was promised. To add insult to injury a local land owner removed a vast amount of trees from alongside the motorway which acted in some small way to diffuse some of the noise. With the increase in traffic and heavy freight the noise can be heard 24 hours a day and in the summer windows must be shut to block it out which is most unpleasant It is a common cause for conversation and consternation and I have no doubt that it detrimentally affects house prices or even the chance of being able to sell a house once a prospective buyer hears it. I am looking to leave this area as it has become intolerable and I know of other people who feel the same. Could you please advise me of any plans to investigate this terrible racket or indeed to dampen it in any way? Many thanks in anticipation

Surface degradation across running lanes
16th April
When driving westbound along the M26 on 8/4/24 in poor weather, we noticed significant surface degradation and rough running in the running lanes, which would have been between marker posts M26 L 8.5 and M26 L 9.0. As we were driving at traffic speed we could not see any further details, but it would be worth investigating in daylight and good weather to confirm. (Note I've clicked the map in what I guess was the location, but the marker post should be used as the actual location).

Whole section of road needs resurfacing

As a cyclist and motorist, I find the road condition not acceptable, and is not fit for purpose. Especially the upward section towards Poll Hill as the speed limit goes back to 30. As a cyclist you need to ride around 4 feet from the curb to find a flat bit of road.
