Deep flood water on highway after rain
20th October
After medium and heavy rain the road on this sweeping s-bend floods badly, leading to very deep standing water on a blind bend. Cars often have near misses when trying to navigate through the middle of the bend, or reach it at high speed (national speed limit) and run the risk of aquaplaning. There have been a number of accidents on this part of the road during the winter with cars crashing into the boundaries of the two adjacent properties, especially in minus conditions where this part of the road has flooded and frozen. Please address this before there is a serious accident.

Heavy and medium rain leads to road flooding
20th October
The corner near the farm leads to flooding which on either approach is only visible once you are upon it. Often rounding the corner after heavy raid vehicles will be in the middle of the road picking their way through. This represents a serious road hazard and should be addressed with drainage into the adjacent ditch before there is an accident or worse.

Missing road signs // danger to people and vehicles
5th March
Recently at least three passenger vehicles have erroneously attempted to follow the road south towards Furneux Pelham. Since Violets Lane is a bridleway/part road they claimed theyd been taken down it on satellite navigation systems. At best the Lane is barely passable in rugged proper off-road vehicles and even those will struggle at the moment. The sign at the above marking indicating the danger has disappeared- the post is there, albeit horizontally, but nothing else. Please could you try to put up marking to prevent more people getting stuck, possibly injuring themselves and definitely costing the rescue services and their insurance lots of money? Thanks and kind regards. Richard Taylor
