Everton Hill
Tempsford Road
Hi. On both lanes of the road thick yellow speed deterrents have been painted on the banked section of the hill. Whilst I appreciate this is a good measure for motor vehicles, for those on pushbikes it is a safety hazard. Irrespective of what speed you either ascend or descend the hill due to the nature of the thickness of the banding it shakes the handlebars of bikes uncontrollably (even at less than walking pace) and as it is over banding when any moisture is present it creates a very slippery surface causing loss of traction on a pushbikes tyres.
Could a channel 12 inches wide both up and down the road be removed in order that bikes can safely pass both up and down the lanes before someone becomes a casualty please.
Many thanks, Simon
