Temp. Traffic lights not working
17th February
Roadworks have finished in the location provided, however the cones and traffic lights are still up, but this afternoon when driving back home the traffic lights had stopped working, meaning traffic had to guess between themselves on the 3 way set of traffic lights on who to go through. It became quite dangerous with cars racing through each way towards you. They were working this morning at 8.45. It appears that the work has finished, so it would be necessary that a representative is sent out to clear these away.

Several significant pot holes one which has seriously damaged my car last Mon.
3rd February
There are several deep holes in a line here. The danger is if you tried to avoid them there is the potential to hit other vehicles coming the other way. Its not lit and the potholes are filling with water and so cannot be seen. This is very dangerous and needs urgent attention.

Vegetation and Bridge Strike Signs
23rd August
Following a number of Bridge Strikes at this location (SSV/781) this year, our responders had noticed lots of overhanging vegetation which causes an obstructions to the Bridge Height Signs. The signage on the approach to the structure have also been twisted away from the drivers. Please can this be looked into and ensure that the Bridge Strike Signage is visible to road users, and not obscured by vegetation, to hopefully reduce the strikes on this structure, and reduce the impact that this has on Hockley station.

Vibrations and building shaking due to badly repaired section of Aldermans Hill outside 10 Aldermans Hill.
29th June
The building Follygate, 10 Aldermans Hill on Aldermans Hill road was built 2008/9 containing 10 separate dwellings on 3 floors. Very few insignificant settlement cracks appeared over the first 10 years. Various road excavations have taken place in the road in front of the building in recent years. Significantly, recurrent issues with the storm drains between 9 (odd) and 10(even) Aldermans Hill result in frequent road flooding of this road section during heavy, consistent rain. These have had many visits to apply remedial action by the various authorities over the years with no improvement to the situation being achieved. A section of the road LHS to Hockley direction was excavated next to the storm drain (approximately 5/6 years ago I think). The surface remains very uneven in the channel that was excavated and two lines of cracks continue across the width of the pavement adjacent to that. Whenever HGVs or heavier and/or longer multi-axled vehicles which impose point loading and lateral stresses on roads, go over the uneven section at anything more than 25mph, it causes the building to shake. The intensity of the shaking has increased over the past 5 years to the point of significant concern now, since cracks are now appearing around door frames and across ceilings and walls in the plaster in numerous places at an increasing rate and are now evident in every room in my own 3rd floor (in the roof) property due to the regular and numerous incidents of shaking of the building. Cracks are also in the communal hallways and stairwells. Objects and furniture rattle. Alarmingly even the bed shakes! This needs to be investigated and rectified. As a leasehold property I should like to give the County Council a chance to investigate and remedy before pursuing this with the freeholder building owner to investigate the whole building's integrity re structural damage. Hence anonymity at this point. However, the generally dreadful state of the main road through Hockley anyway, which has a distinctly more noisy road surface than later sections of the road as it continues (different road surface) and the inability to resolve the localised flooding of storm drains, leads me to believe it's unlikely to be resolved without significant investigation of and meaningful remedial investment in the road's actual infrastructure itself.

Nettles and brambles overhanging footpath causing a Health & Safety issue.
3rd June
The weeds, brambles and bushes are over growing the footpath forcing wheelchair users, parents with buggies etc, into the road. If there are parked cars then they are forced into the centre of the road to get by. This is clearly a Health & Safety issue.
