Drain Cover Broken.
9th May
The drain cover is broken and missing, leaving an open drain (which is also recessed) making it easy for a member of the public using The George Yard public pavement to get their foot stuck down the hole and break their leg. The offending drain is under the arch so hard to see during daylight and impossible to see after dark. This drain has been broken for some time.

The service road on Broad Street used to have a No Vehcile except bycycles sign which was located at the top by East street
but its disappeared.
We've had a letter from one of our residents, to highlight the service road on Broad Street and its loss of signing. Its loss has turned what was a section of one way traffic into two way. Its causing hazardous situations which is quite dangerous. please could we have signs put up to clarify if this is a one way bit of service road or No cars allowed. Its becoming quite dangerous for pedestrians.

When the Levee breaks?
7th May
Always liked Led Zeppelin, they have that sort of noise and rhythm that is anthemic. Smashed into this pothole **again** today and it reminded me of their tune When the Levee breaks. Why? I hear you say! Well this massive pothole mess is located on the Weir at the boundary of Old and New Alresford. If you leave it much longer the Dam might fail! Centered around the razor sharp edge of the manhole drain in the photo, this biggy snatches the steering to the right, handily guiding you into incoming traffic on this quite narrow section of highway. ( I did think of Highway to Hell, but Ill save this for another ) Now. Dont think you can just dab some tarmacadam a run off. This WHOLE bit needs sorting please. The area around the drain, before and after it and the section in the main Northbound lane. Might as well do the job properly please. Thank you. Fix it now rating 10/10

Under the Jacklyns Lane bridge. Three potholes that almost unavoidable
7th May
After repairs earlier in the year the surface is breaking up again at the joins to the old surfacing. There are 3 holes over a length of road of about 10 metres. Being one way under the narrow bridge the roadway gets double the use of any other road. The holes are at least 50mm deep.

Several potholes have developed
28th April
This whole area was relaid with new tarmac some time ago. However, the tarmac has broken up in numerous places and is now causing problems again. I cycled under the bridge recently and had to slalom in order to avoid the resultant potholes. I presume the tarmac has broken up due to the amount of traffic that uses this part of Jacklyns Lane, which leads me to believe that the tarmac used was of a poor quality to withstand this level of use.

Abandoned car
23rd April
This car is still on the grass verge after 8 months untaxed, unmoved, uninsured and the grass grows round it and through it. A blot on the landscape. It has had blue council stickers on it and still remains. I'm sure if it was along the Avenue or on the playing fields in Alresford it would have been moved long ago.

Pot hole next to drain hole causing punctures
16th March
Pedestrian crossing on north end of Jacklyns Lane approaching crossroad. Pot hole has exposed drain metalwork. This is very dangerous for tyres. Already one vehicle has had a blowout. It leaves the vehicle in dangerous position in the Z area of the crossing. Im sure lots of claims coming to the council if not fixed urgently.
