Extensive and dangerous flytipping on byway Navestock 55
7th September
This byway (Navestock 55) has persistent issues with fly-tipping but at the moment it is so dangerous at the entrance which leads onto Muthering Lane that it is completely impassable, around 10 foot of the lane is completely covered in crushed broken glass surrounded on both sides by general rubbish. This is the only means of access to Curtis Mill Lane and the field beyond without taking a big detour of miles used by cars with no footpaths. This particular area needs clearing as a priority. It has been impassable for over a month. what3words location is slick.cried.rescue

Raised ironwork
5th May
Ironwork in the road with no tarmac around it. Been like this for at least a year. Source of anxiety when cycling, its a fast bend from the main road into the side road and someone will come a cropper.

Large Pothole
3rd February
This huge pothole isnt easily visible at night, My partner hit it in our car around 7pm and it has caused significant damage to the front of our vehicle. It is on a corner and the road has other potholes so it is impossible to be going fast on this part of the road yet the depth of this hole is enough to seriously damage a vehicle and in my opinion very dangerous. I have added an image from Google street view from March 2021, there is no pothole in the photo. I have no idea how long it it has been there. We have been back to the location twice to try and show how large the hole is, each time it has been too busy to safely get out of the car because it is on a junction. The other photos show how large the hole is in daylight and night, at the same time as the incident occurred. Which you can see very little of where the pothole is until it is too late and you are in it.

Some road repairs on the bend had been, badly, carried out a few weeks ago. The road surface has continued to degenerate. It now a positive danger. Especially to cyclists.
