Persistent parking on pavements
21st May
A lot of works vans plus some private cars persistently park on pavements blocking the way for pedestrians, prams, wheelchairs and dog walkers. Sometimes both sides of the roads are involved forcing people to walk on roads. I have actually had cars drive behind me to park on the pavement along Kenley Road, Laymoor Road/Avenue and Bleasdale Road plus connecting roads.

Overgrown Grass / Bushes / Trees
21st May
This area has been neglected for over a year now with no ground maintenance carried out. It compromises the safety of residents who use the foot path, especially at night.

Pavement parking back
16th May
Alas, although initial results were good (thanks), it's literally business as usual for this garage.
Today 3 vehicles fully on pavement, one of which, a van, being worked on by two mechanics on the pavement.
I'm afraid repeat visits are necessary for all such businesses (AMK, AGMORS etc) else, council back turned, they simply revert to type.
Thanks,

South St covered in litter - again
16th May
Entire length of South St needs swept of heavy litter. Some sections much worse than others but - and for a change - please ensure both sides of street are done incl. road gutters and pavement inside edges.
This is a recurring issue which, 8 years at least on, you still have not adequately & proactively addressed.
Top tips: 1) Start at one end. Keep going until your reach the other end. 2) Repeat in the opposite direction. 3) Do so on a Sunday when there are much fewer parked vehicles 4) If manual removal is just too '1970s' for today's workers, then vacuum up the litter do not just blow it about (displace and disperse). 5) Proactively repeat (1-4) at least every 4 months without relying on yet another (free) public report. 6) Consider the radical possibility of placing more than the existing 2 'Litter & Dog Waste' bins along the ENTIRE street. 7) Failing (6), implement (5).
You are welcome.

Heavy litter
16th May
This (north side) stretch of the A814 seems to have evaded the council's recent 'deep clean' of same. It's covered in litter. Please attend. Thanks,

Ambulance could not get near address and had to park middle of road
16th May
Inconsiderate commuters and high rise flat residents using all spaces and lining the pavement with cars, sometimes on pavement and the dip. Difficult to get out if lucky to get a space. Our residents here, some are disabled, without limbs and cannot get parked. Pensioners. The community centre within doesn't help. Ridiculous not being able to park near our home. The ambulance situation was terrible, patient having to walk. If another emergency vehicle needed in, there was no way. Something needs to be done about this street.

Usual flytipping in usual inshot location

Seriously, 8 years, weekly event, reported endlessly and neither the combined managerial might of NRS and the HA cannot come up with a solution? Please do your job, thanks.

On the left hand side there's no traffic light RAG there's only 2 heads at this left turn lane onto the M8 Motorway I don't know why there isn't a traffic light head on the left hand side pavement only a pedestrain button remaining.

This has improved a lot recently (presumed owing to intervention - thanks) however still happening.

Although much improved (following past intervention) still get the occasional idiot, like this one. They usually leave their lights flashing (to indicate 'only temporary') as if that matters. This guy didn't even bother.
If you are in the area, please always re-check this roundabout hotspot. Thanks.

This has been going on for years. Please visit all local businesses and put and end to it.
And, just in case no-one has noticed, these big, black street bins are fly-tipping magnets and have been ever since they were introduced. NRS mgt response? None. That clearly works...

Trashed A814 'safety' barrier still not repaired
9th May
It's been months. If vehicles can trash the galvanised A814 safety barriers at this spot (and they have, repeatedly over the years), then they can make mincemeat of these plastic ones (and any pedestrians on the pavement behind).
Given this IS a know hotspot, and these barriers have been trashed repeatedly over the last 5-8 years, might be an idea to a) consider some council mitigation b) ask Police Scotland to enforce the speed limit(s) on the A814.
Also somewhat ironic the Westland Drive pedestrian crossing has now had a major safety revamp and yet... (see above).

Please get them back to remove the 6 sandbags they left behind on the central reservation & 1 dumped traffic sign on the grass verge. Thanks.

Another plot that does not need cut
6th May
Why is the huge main expanse of grass here cut?
It is not directly resident facing, trees are limited to the surrounds (grass of which not now cut) so huge open area that would make a fantastic wildflower meadow which, given it's at the start of a 'nature trail' is ideal.
Note that, in 8 years, I've never seen anyone use this plot other than a few dog walkers &, of course, there's Vic Pk next door which has no wildflower meadow.
