Broken Ironworks

This area has been 'patched up' several times but there is now a seriously broken iron-works cover still not repaired. This could be very dangerous if any of the loose iron were to be 'hurled' into the air by a passing vehicle

Manhole cover / Pothole on Station Road

Bins left in Middle of Pavement
31st December
Good morning,
Happy New Year to you all.
I made an observation recently which I understand was documented in 1 or all of these references below (all now closed). 101003017065, 101003015748, 101003015749
My original observation was not a complaint because it did not affect me specifically but rather made as a general observation and concern for 'users of the pavement'.
Again I have no complaint about the refuse collection - excellent and nearly always completed very early.
This morning I thought at first glance I had forgotten to place the Brown bin at the end of the drive-way. Not so - I later heard someone moving the bin - presumably because it was causing an obstruction to the pavement.
It seems so simple to me:- >>> return the bin from where it was collected - i.e. just within the boundaries of our property - i.e. inches (or centimeters) from the pavement) >>> If this is seen as some sort of 'difficult' request then return the bin to an area on the pavement opposite the driveway (2 cars wide) where there is a drop kerb and no vehicle parked on the roadway against the pavement
Leaving the bin in the middle of the pavement between a parked car (possibly) where there is no drop kerb and the adjoining hedge / garden means the bin is a potential obstruction. I say potential, because any 'normal' pedestrian can walk round the bin but people with mobility scooters or prams would have to 'take to the road' or try and relocate the bin. I have no problem or objection to moving the bin once I am aware of a problem or just moving the bins back towards the garage.
I hope you understand the reason for this email and feel it appropriate to provide some sort of 'solution' or an explanation (i.e. if there is a valid reason - un-beknown to me - for leaving a bin in the middle of the pavement)
P.S. I have no means of establishing accurate stats - not least because I have no idea how often a bin may have been moved (like this morning) from an'obstructing position). Regards

Large pothole heading South
22nd January
Have hit large pothole here on last two journeys heading South. Cannot see it in the dark. It's just before the corner. Car share so only drive it once or twice a week. Cannot stop to take photo as dangerous bit of road. Pothole has possibly been here for a while but has definitely gotten worse and causes quite a bang when you hit it.
