Road flooding bscause ditches blocked
9th January
Several sections of the road to the Bower are constantly under water because of blocked ditches and culverts, leading to 50-100 m stretches of sheet ice on a single track road that is the only access to several properties

A Flooding problem has been found
30th October
Regarding surface water on the road to The Bower.
Pretty much continuously, even when it hasn't rained recently, there is water standing on long stretches of the road, particularly the section immediately west of Dally Castle and from the forest gate to the point where the forest access track comes down from the north. I can send some pictures if it helps.
In colder weather these become 10 - 20m stretches of sheet ice, which, given it's single track and the only means of access for 6 properties, significantly increases the risk of accident or us being cut off from emergency services. At the least it further degrades a road already in very poor condition.
I think the main issue is water flowing down from land immediately to the north which pools on the road because the ditches and culverts are blocked. It seems to be getting worse each year.
