This pot hole has been here for about 2 to 3 months, but its getting bigger. The trouble is you now have to pull out too far and its dangerous to traffic on the other side of the road .

The path is overgrown and in some parts unpassable without stepping onto the road, which is on a blind tight bend with cars travelling at speed leaving Flitwick. I saw a woman with a pushchair struggling to get past.
Oart of the responsibility will be the land owner, but the pavement itself is reduced to half it's size due to years of growth. You can hardly see the marking posts in the overgrowth.

This hedge has been overgrowing the footway for many years. It now has bramble growing out of it at head height. The council can enforce the overgrown hedge under Section 154 of the Highways Act 1980 yet chooses to do so. As the local councillor has made you aware, mobility scooter users are unable to pass the hedge. The resultant failure to enforce places it in breach of it's public sector equality duty and the Equality Act 2010.
The council has been aware of the issue for many years. The latest excuse is that it is nesting season. Please note that you can cut garden hedges during nesting season as long as you check no nests are present. Therefore this is no excuse.
