People stopping at repeat light
28th May
There is a new traffic light which has been installed in front of the Hilton Hotel, which is a repeat light for drivers coming down Deansgate. Cars turning onto Deansgate from Great Bridgwater street and Liverpool road are stopping at this light when it is red thinking it is for them, when it is for the cars stopped at the previous line
This is causing delays as only 1/2 cars can get through the light on great Bridgwater street and Liverpool road when it is their turn due to drivers who are mistaking this light as their signal

Merging over hatched lines causing traffic
28th May
Cars medicine onto the A57 here do not honour the hatched lines and merge over this, causing a huge delay behind. A second lane has been created by drivers from behind trying to bypass these merging cars who are not moving at all as they have parked on the hatched lines waiting to get in
Cars already on the A57 in the left hand lane are also trying to merge onto the new first lane that is created even though they are already in a lane going straight on
I have been travelling this route daily for over a year and the traffic would be alleviated by bollards preventing people from merging too early and using the full length of the road available to them.
The right lane at the traffic light further up by Porcelaosa remains empty as cars going straight do not make use of it
All the cross merging is creating delays

Road markings unclear
28th May
Both the left hand and middle lanes can be used to turn left onto Mancunian Way, with the middle being used to go straight on as well.
Drivers in the left hand lane routinely cut traffic off from the middle lane, without indicating, to go straight over. I have had numerous near collisions due to drivers in the left hand lane cutting across the middle lane to go straight over rather than turning onto Mancunian way. They do not check their mirrors, and this also causes a backlog further down as they could have used the emptier middle or right lane to continue their journey.
They instead cause a jam as their car blocks off access turning left.
Please make the signs more clear that their lane is to go left only

Dangerous dip in road
26th May
Dear fix my street team
Several of my residents have contacted me regarding their journey back from Twickenham via the A316 where their vehicles are hitting a major dip in the road where the A316 ends and turns into the M3.
Please can we get this fixed before a nasty accident takes place if people are not aware that it is there.
Your assistance on this issue would be appreciated.
Kind regards Cllr Harry Boparai

Road surface on Princess street between Charles Street and Whitworth Street is in really bad condition caused by all the heavy construction traffic over it in recent years. Big potholes, ruts, depressions and loose surface everywhere. Needs to be fully resurfaced.
