Llanfaes Bridge - Blocked with tree trunks
7th April
Previously reported in January. This blockage as not surprisingly got worse with three of the bridge arches now partially blocked. This is potentially serious given that amount of woody debris above/below Brecon weir which, if dislodged in a flood will now block the bridge and could cause properties along the Usk to be flooded - as happened in Dec, 1979.

Football kicked around in town
21st March
There are many occasions when footballs are being kicked around in the town causing a public nuisance. Instead of putting up multiple markers in Fix my Street this location is one place where balls are frequently kicked about. Also Bethal Square, COOP and Morrisons car park, behind the COOP etc. Main concerns are balls hitting pedestrians ( myself included ) cars and also shops and residents windows being hit !! Please can there be signs placed around saying No Ball Games? There are plenty of open spaces suitable for ball playing but not the town centre!!

Llanfaes Bridge Being Blocked with Timber
16th January
Since the pre/post Christmas floods of the River Usk, there has been a build up of timber upstream of Llanfaes Bridge in Brecon. There is also a massive amount of timber (tree trunks etc) 400m upstream at Brecon Weir. I therefore believe there is a significant risk of the blockage getting worse and flooding occurring to properties upstream (as happened on 27/12/79). I have previously reported this to NRW Flood Risk but was told it was a Powys Highways problem to sort out. I don't mind who sorts it as long as something is done. Thanks.

River Erosion at Foot of Retaining Wall
2nd January
Following the pre-Christmas floods and fall in water levels I have noticed that some severe erosion has taken place below the footbridge in Castle Street, Brecon. It looks like a section of the bridge bed has broken away leading to erosion of the bank and partial undermining of the large stone bridge abutment. Thought it best to bring to your attention before it worsens. May also be an opportunity to improve fish access up the Honddu as the weir at this point does impede their migration.

Extremely Dangerous Parking
20th December
Owners of vehicles on Church Street often park on the double lines by the entrance to the road leading to issues when trying to exit the road onto the main road and near misses often occur during the school run I have witnessed several accidents that have almost happened as a result of people parking on double yellow lines. This is extremely dangerous as children are often crossing. And can also be hit.

Abandoned Car
25th October
The car pictured had now been parked for several months in Kensington, Brecon.
Whilst not parked illegally, it has occupied a parking space that was used by local residents. The car has had a flat rear tyre for several weeks and thus is not really roadworthy.
