Illegal parking again 30th May 2025 5pm onwards
30th May
Illegal parking has continued on Victoria Rd after at least the 4th parking ticket last weekend. The car is creating a continuation of the single lane which creates dangers for cars coming from the duckpond which are met with cars accelerating to get to the priority from Cooks Rd roundabout. This then creates dangers and hazards for padestrians as cars mount pavements on narrow walkways to get past each other.

Illegal parking on double yellow lines again 22nd May
22nd May
Has been parking illegally for months, most nights on Victoria Rd. This can often be for 15 hours or more, persistently, despite at least 3 parking tickets. This is an even bigger issue at the moment due to the temporary lights. I have referred this many times. The police tell me it's a council matter and I am spending a lot of time referring this issue to no avail. Are the double yellow lines simply cosmetic road decoration nowadays?

Illegal parking again 21st May
22nd May
Parking overnight again on double yellows on Victoria rd after at least 3 parking tickets. I am told the car may have no valid MOT which is of great concern to local residents from a safety to our family and community aspect. The car is removed before most of the traffic wardens begin the day shift but still poses a huge threat to all the local schoolchildren, as cars mount pavements to get along the single lane or race from the Cooks Rd roundabout to claim right of way over the duck pond traffic. This whole situation needs addressing urgently before someone is injured.

Illegal parking again after 3 known tickets
20th May
The mondeo is back again, presumably for the night, on Victoria rd on 20th May after 3 parking tickets that I am aware of, the last being Saturday morning 17th May. Today it is particularly bad and disruptive due to the temporary traffic lights at the Birkey end. There is no sign that the parking tickets are deterring the repeated offences.

Illegal parking all night again 15th-16th May
15th May
Back again on Victoria Rd for another night, causing obstruction and safety concerns. Persistently parking on double yellow lines despite two parking tickets, that have been given. Extension of the single width carriageway causes cars to become frustrated and mount pavements to get down the rd.

Repeated illegal parking after 2 known council parking tickets (maybe more)
12th May
Back illegal parking again, evening of 12th May (photo 9.20pm) after 2 parking tickets on 21st April and 11th May 2025. Total distain demonstrated for fellow residents, double yellow markings and council authority on this issue. Perhaps a step-up in action may be required in this instance? (Please see multiple previous reports).

Continued illegal parking
11th May
After your excellent traffic wardens put a ticket on this Mondeo on Monday 21st April 2025 and then again today 11th May 2025, the parking ticket has been removed and the car has returned once again to the same spot for continued overnight parking. I can't emphasise how dangerous it becomes around 7.30am onwards as the traffic trying to drive from the duckpond become blocked by this extended single file and will mount the pavement and beep aggressively as they are gridlocked by this inconsiderate illegal parking. Someone will be injured soon. It appears the parking tickets are not having an effect.

Illegal parking again on double yellows on Victoria Road
8th May
The Mondeo is back again on double yellow lines, usually for the night. It arrived at 5.30pm and is still here more than four hours later. The road is being used as a night car park for residents with multiple cars, on most nights. They are not gone by rush hour, posing a huge threat to padestrian school children and other road users.

Parking on double yellow lines persistently
8th May
Wednesday 7th May 8.02am. Causing an obstruction during rush hour by illegal parking. This is a real concern to the public, particularly padestrians and school children. Since the priority signs have been put up, many cars race down to beat those coming from the duck pond and this parking is extending the one way. Cars start to mount pavements and even overtake to get past.

Illegal parking on double yellow lines again
5th May
On Sunday 4th May the silver mondeo is back again despite being ticketed 2 weeks ago. It arrived at 5pm and is still there now, more than 7 hours later. It usually stays 14 hours most nights. This causes road congestion and a health and safety threat to padestrians, when cars mount pavements as a result, to get down the extended single lane.
