I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to formally request the removal of a tree located directly in front of my property at 141 Lancelot Road. While I understand the value of maintaining greenery in our community, this particular tree has become a persistent obstruction and is now affecting both visibility and safety.
The tree significantly limits visibility for both pedestrians and drivers entering and exiting the property, which has led to a number of near-miss incidents. In addition, its overgrown branches now interfere with nearby street lighting, leaving the area poorly lit at night and increasing the risk of accidents or antisocial behaviour.
Furthermore, the roots have started to lift and crack the pavement, posing a trip hazard to passersby. This presents not only a safety issue but also a potential liability concern.
Given these ongoing issues, I kindly urge the council to assess the tree at your earliest convenience and consider its removal or significant pruning to address the hazards it presents.

On most days, a green garden-waste bin is placed on the public footway immediately in front of the driveway crossover and left there for several hours. This regularly obstructs vehicle access and narrows the pedestrian route.
