In front of The Chapel Nursery

There are now two large and dangerous potholes outside Chapel Nursery, where there used to be just one. Over time, the original pothole has expanded and split into two separate holes, making the area even more hazardous for pedestrians, parents with prams, and vehicles. The cracks have widened, and the surface has deteriorated significantly, creating deep, uneven gaps that are difficult to spot, especially in poor lighting or rainy weather when they fill with water.
These potholes pose a serious safety risk. Children and parents walking to the nursery could easily trip and fall, potentially leading to injuries. For cars, the holes present a risk of damaging tires and suspension, and they force drivers to swerve dangerously close to pedestrians or other vehicles. As they continue to grow, the structural integrity of the road could worsen, leading to even more costly repairs in the future.
The problem needs urgent attention before someone gets hurt. Since the single pothole has now become two, its clear that the road is deteriorating rapidly. Immediate action is necessary to prevent further damage and ensure the safety of everyone using this route.

Illegal car parking

One of the Peabody vehicles pictured here is continuously parking on the junction between Lingfield Avenue and Dewlands Avenue. This obstructs the view for vehicles leaving or entering Dewlands Avenue and poses a hazard with seeing oncoming traffic. In the UK, you should not park within 10 meters (32 feet) of a junction, unless you are in an authorized parking space in accordance of rule 243 of the Highway code. This rule is in place to ensure that drivers and pedestrians have a clear view of the road. Please do not park here again.

Pet carrier on verge
7th January
This morning I was in a taxi headed northbound and noticed a grey plastic pet carrier on the verge beside the ramp at the junction. Please note it was impossible to see whether or not there was an animal inside but I cant stop worrying in case there was and there is something inside, suffering. It was not possible or safe for me to stop and investigate myself and I am not familiar with the roads so I was only able to take a screenshot of my location about 20 seconds after driving past where i saw it. I have attached a screenshot of the two possible locations, the two junctions that I passed prior to noting my location. I apologise for the lack of information and Im sure you are very busy but I thought it important to report, even if it needs removing in case another member of the public attempts to stop and check and puts themself at risk. Lock and Chain on gate

The chain and lock on the gate underneath the A2 flyover has been cut for the fourth time in 3 months. DBC has replaces this three times now but it is expensive to replace the lock and chain as it is costing us over 100 a time. We no longer can keep doing could Highways please target harden this area so the illegal vecheilce can get in
