Trees and Hedge line encroaching

The hedge row on the west side of the road is encroaching on the highway effectively narrowing the bend. This has been getting progressively worse over the years, its reduced the blind bend to a single lane.

Road badly needs sweeping
1st March
This road A51 in the village of Duddon has not seen a road sweeper for over 2 years. The gutters and drains are a disgrace some drains flood when it rains for the reason they are blocked. What are we paying our council tax for, only getting the bins emptied. Also the footpaths are narrowing in parts that we have to go onto the road to get past, not good in the interests of safety. We need to see some action instead of promises.

Hedge is overgrown forcing pavement users to go on road. Especially dangerous for young children on their bikes. This is an annual issue with this particular hedge due to being so close to relatively narrow pavement.

The whole of the A51 from Tarporley end roundabout to Tarvin end roundabout needs badly roadsweeping. The stretch covering Duddon and Clotton especially as these gutters have not been swept for a number of years and the gutters flood in heavy rain because the gully’s need emptying. Total disgrace..

Missing broken white line to show that Burton Rd traffic has right of way.
25th February
The lane from Duddon Hook Lane to Burton Rd., had a broken white line across it where it joins Burton Rd. The last road surface repair job obliterated most of the line and it was never reinstated. Drivers no longer know who has right of way.

So many potholes here that drivers' attention is given more to road surface than to oncoming vehicles approaching from round the bend in the road; problem has existed for a couple of years and was ignored when Burton Rd. itself was partly re-surfaced recently. The road surface in Burton village is also in a disgraceful condition and is dangerous for the same reason.
