Deep Drops between tarmac road and bank
20th February
Over a long period of time, the space between the tarmac road and the natural bank has washed away and left deep ruts. These are very hazardous to small cars/owners who could find themselves grounded on the tarmac with the wheel in the rut.
It narrows the safe usable road to a single track.
Someone has placed traffic cones in the ruts as shown in the photographs.

Drain blocked and overflowing to road to freeze
3rd January
Roadside drain on the access road to Mill Lane has blocked with mud which has ran off from the track nearby over a period of time. As a result the water runs over the drain and into Malthouse road. Due to this event cold weather this has frozen on a blind bend and presents an obvious danger. This village road is not gritt d by local council.

Drain cover missing on the corner of Bottom Street and The Green
16th December
This drain hole cover has been dislodged a few times. The latest on 16/12/24 approx 09:00. A Red Horse Vale wagon hit the drain cover and it flew across the road. I managed to heave it onto the grass verge. It needs fixing properly. If it had hit someone as it was dislodged it could have seriously injured or killed them. Now the drain has no cover on it. Someone could fall down it in the dark, and it could cause serious damage to vehicles if they drive over it.

Trees & Undergrowth Spreading over/onto Road
TOP St
Top St. Northend; The trees and bushes on the west side of the road and the creeping undergrowth are reducing the road width making it impossible for two cars to pass each other without one having to stop. The road is also a public service and school bus route and such vehicles takes up the whole of the remaining road. The grass verge on the east side is also creeping out, adding to the problem.
Some might say vehicles travelling into the village could pull over onto the eastern grass verge but, as winter approaches cars, busses and trucks will get stuck in the soft surface, adding to the problem.
